I have problem finding sources confirming that.

Your fifth toe's latin name is digitus minimus. Not minmus.

And so does the name of the toe, the digitus minimus; I think that site is just a typo.

Also, number 10, the interrobang - ?!, is an awesome name.

Number ten is also wrong -- the interrobang is specifically a single punctuation mark that combines the "!" and "?" into one symbol, not just any appearance of "!?".

Eve - Probably a word derived from the name Venus

Gilly - No idea.

Kerbin - Named after the Kerbals. "Kerbal" was a random name HarvesteR gave to little tin foil dudes on bottle rockets and the name stuck.

Mun - "Moon," but with a 'u'

Duna - Most likely a reference to the planet "Arrakis" in the Dune novels. Was called "Egar" at one point.

Ike - No idea.

Jool - Probably derived from the name "Jupiter," also conveniently fits in with the phrase "Jool-y Green Giant." Was called "Meander" at one point.

Don't even ask me what the name for Jool's moons are. Except for one.

Pol - looks like a pollen grain.

Eeloo - play on the word "igloo"

Just my two cents, I have no idea where the names actually came from.

In star wars, the planet where the Hutts live is called Nal Hutta, Meaning "glorious jewel" maybe Jool came from that?

Minmus might have come from on of Saturn's moons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mimas_%28moon%29
