Any chance of this updating? It's working...but barely. Sound is on the fritz...plus the conflict with HotRockets...

I'd hate to see this mod left in the dust when it enhances the atmosphere (heh) of the game so much. Sound is one of the most neglected parts of KSP.

Yes, but it won't be any time soon. I've had a hard disk failure and am currently without a computer as a result.

Any chance of you updating this? This is one of those little mods that gives way more immersion than it sounds (excuse the pun).

Couldn't even be asked to look back TWO whole posts. On the same page.

It comment about some 3D positional sound FX and volume. Your mod with this upgrades could be benefit.

Again. On the same page. It says he doesn't actually have a computer available to work on this. If you actually cared about the mod, you'd do the mod author the favor of reading the last few pages.

....doesn't hurt to bump it though. Will hopefully get picked up sometime in the future.

This would be good as when 0.25 is released its likely all the engines will be moved to the new engine module, making this mod no longer work at all.

I personally haven't noticed anything different with this mod from 0.23 to 0.24 -under 32-bit, at least

It'll still work the same with engines that are using ModuleEngine, but every new engine added will be using the new sound system with ModuleEngineFX, which isn't working yet. A big pass on engine effects is one of the features of 0.25, so it's likely that this version won't work with it at all. The good news is that my computer is back up and running, so I can start trying to figure out this problem again.

It seems it works with some parts and not with others on .25. During launch after passing mach 1 sound dropped as expected, but next stage was loud again, stage after quiet in space. Hoping for a update to make it work consistently the way it should. Really liked the immersiveness this gives :)

It's not as simple as that. All of the engines are slowly being moved over to the new fx system and there is currently no known way to make this mod work with it. That's why it hasn't been updated in a while.

As raidernick said, 0.25 included a large pass on engine effects, updating them to use the new system. I've had some success with supporting it, but it's still buggy, and doesn't yet work with dual-mode engines such as the RAPIER. I'm going to break it down and see if I can single out what is working or not.
