Riddles

No, no, no, no.

Also, I've realised this is another riddle that may be a lot harder for an American to solve. Because seriously, you guys are weird. You've never heard of Ludo, and now this. Nonetheless it shouldn't be impossible for Americans, and anyway I doubt I'm the only Brit in the thread.

What, a Loo or something?

On a joking side: I call out a bias!

TV or Radio?

Fibre-optic cable? (for internet)

Christmas tree lights? Or a christmas tree? Or Christmas decorations? Or Christmas presents? Or anything Christmassy? (There's that superstition of not taking the decorations down if you haven't done by twelfth night. Therefore "a year or more to maybe stay")

EDIT: I'm English!

And the word "loo" is almost never used, unless you're posh. "Toilet" or "bathroom" is more common.

Stores of knowledge no-one may see

Abutting spacetimes; energy

Is needed yet to make them real

As the strings the present must feel.

That present may elude our grasp

When what's to come we spy in glass.

Week foll'wing week, day after day,

A year or more to maybe stay.

I've not tried to make this easy

But I do hope it is not cheesy.

Hint 1: You can find one in the solar system.

Hint 2: You can find one on Earth.

Hint 3: You can almost surely find one in your town.

Hint 4: I expect you can find one in your home

Yep, American here. Guess it's time to Wikipedia up some modern British gadgets :P

Also, another random guess: a DVR? (auto-records TV shows according to user-programmed parameters)

A landline telephone?

A string of thoughts?

The human brain?

A magnifying glass?

A window with curtains!?

EDIT: When you're looking for something and forget what you're looking for? Or when you forget what you were about to say?

Well, I pretty much give up.

Also, I (at least) am thinking it's a gadget, becuase "energy is needed yet..." seems to me to be referencing electricity passing thru a device.

Also, "store of knowlege no-one may see" says to me that it has information not visible to the naked eye (like on a CD, DVD, HDD, etc)

Edit: Long shot here, but maybe a 3d printer?

Edit: Maybe DNA? Running out of ideas here...

Edit: Magic 8-ball? (idk lol)

Edit: A clock radio?

The fact that it contains knowledge that cannot be seen and exists, per the riddle, outside of spacetime(s? I've wondered about this too, since spacetime is not plural.) is leading to the assumption it must be a technological gadget of some sort.

Since it's also something that must age or mature for a year or more, and we see it through a glass (or in one), I think it's something else and the riddle is worded in a misleading fashion (obivously).

Wine

or

Ideas (surely that's been guessed.. not sure what glass we'd spy this through)

edit: and I just went back and read the "harder for americans" thing, which makes me imagine both of these guesses are wrong. I should probably hide them.

I doubt this is right, but it seems to fit well:

Some sort of clothing, or bedding?

(no one may see~cover yourself up)

(energy is needed to make them real~manufacturing)

(strings~thread, you can feel what you're wearing)

(that present may elude our grasp~some people might want particular clothes as presents; they might not get them)

(What's to come we spy in glass~you buy clothes in a shop)

(a year or more to maybe stay~how often do you buy new clothes?)

(I hope it's not cheesy~I guess?)

Inspector gadget? how about a magnifying glass? a grandfather clock?, a kukoo clock?
