CaptRobau
Is it WAD that the hab only inflates once, automatically at launch. Shouldn't it be done via a button in the right-click menu?
Itsdavyjones
I found out this was updated, but you should update the front page with the download link, so we don't have to dig through the thread (at this point not a problem, since it was just released). Just a friendly pointer.

Porkjet
Ok I hope it works now--->fixed version download<---Nice! I do like the Orb,But there is something wrong with the animation in part.cfg the for the inflatable hab.this works, but it does not plays the soundThanks a lot Sir! This fixed the animation in VAB bug. Still can't get the sound to play tho.Hmmm, it inflates when selected in the VAB, but there is no option to inflate/deflate on the pad. It's inflated by default. Is that going to change?Ok here's another. place an orbiter orb on a ship then attach a hitchhiker. When you go to the pad the hitchhiker has become another orb.Caused by duplicate name in the part.cfg file. Both fixed. Well, works for me at least. Thx for the hint. Also, glad to hear the orb is getting some love Edited November 24, 2013 by Porkjet

nlancaster
Been looking for an inflatable Hab module for a long time. Love it.Got it up on my station without much trouble see the pictures below.2 suggestions. 1. Make the end caps surface attachable, for RCS, batteries, solar cells, etc...2. Make a version without the end caps. Then people could build to match thier own style.
Hurry- Starfish!
Ultimately I'd love to include this in its own realistic deep space, Near-future -ish parts pack with more inflatable base building/storage parts and stuff like a rotating centrifuge living module, and maybe Orion capsule and VASIMR electric engine.Nice! The Near Future Propulsion mod has the engines covered already, but I am really looking forward to the rest. Those two parts look good.
sorcerymon
I may be nitpicking here, but I dont think you should be able to deflate the module while there's crew in it.

Hurry- Starfish!
I may be nitpicking here, but I dont think you should be able to deflate the module while there's crew in it.Or let crew enter it while it's deflated, yeah.
Helix935
it would be cooler to have like IVAs that change depending on when it is inflated or not and only allow less crew in when it is deflated
betaking
orbital module is pretty cool... I just wish there was a "headlamp" shaped pod or something to use with it,
Porkjet
2 suggestions. 1. Make the end caps surface attachable, for RCS, batteries, solar cells, etc...2. Make a version without the end caps. Then people could build to match thier own style.1. I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that. Can only set attachment rules for the entire part, and if enabled, and people attach things to the inflatable part, they will not move with the mesh as the thing is inflated and be stuck inside the model, which is bad.2. I'll make another inflatable hab later, that is slightly smaller and toroidal, with 2meter ends and no caps, like this. Maybe that will suit your needs.I may be nitpicking here, but I dont think you should be able to deflate the module while there's crew in it.Yepp, you're right, and no crew should be able to enter while its deflated. I have just not figured out how to add that restriction.orbital module is pretty cool... I just wish there was a "headlamp" shaped pod or something to use with it,I've thought about something similar. We could use a couple of space-only pods. By "headlamp" shaped, do you mean it to mount flush with the Orb, like the shielded docking port does? Cos I think that would make the cockpit too small to realistically fit a kerbal in. DasBananenbrot
Yepp, you're right, and no crew should be able to enter while its deflated. I have just not figured out how to add that restriction.Take your time , what you delivered with the model and animation is already awesome. It is so good so we can spend the time with it waiting for some furhter fixes like this restriction. Keep up the good work. nlancaster
But that is what I mean porkjet, If you made the exact same hab with just flat plates at the end of the inflatable section. the end caps could be a sepearate piece that that we could use, or we could build our own end caps.
