Jebediah trapped on Mun! Help!

Recommended Posts

I launched my first successful rocket into space and having enough luck, I landed on the Mun. What I didn't take into consideration is that my fuel is very low and I have no electricity to steer my vessel. Jebediah is now stuck on the Mun and I have had no luck getting another rocket over there as the last 4 attempts have all resulted in failure. I am looking for a hopefully simple way to get Jebediah back to Kerban if possible. Thanks! :)

If Jeb's ship can't be used to get home you'll need to rescue him with another ship that he can transfer too, that or kill him off by cancelling the flight.

it's lonely being stuck on the Mun.

Here i crashed into the surface and only the command pod survived

Assuming you have the tech, launch a ship built around a probe core or remote control unit and include an empty capsule with a parachute... or a command chair since Kerbals won't burn up on re-entry (yet!).

Get into an orbit around the Mun and F5 to quicksave before deorbiting and attempting to land. F9 to reload if/when you mess it up. With enough attempts you'll be able to land pretty close to Jeb.

Don't forget the solar panels or RTGs if ya got 'em.

If you have the tech, launch a....oh, that's been covered. If you don't have the tech, you'll have to design a ship that includes space for at least two Kerbals - two Mk1 Command Pods will do. Leave one of them empty when you put it on the pad.

Can we take a look at your original lander (or can you give us a quick parts list) and can you give us some idea of your current tech level? Both would be helpful in making suggestions for a rescue ship.
