Hi there people, new to the forums,

just wanted to say thanks to them that created the texture replacer mod, is great fun to play with :)

here's a quick screenshot of my star trek kerbals that i'm working on. Would love to know what you guys think -

Hello, is there any mod / programs that would allow us to create new kerbal heads for this??? Is there anyway that the 'kerbalizer' in ksp can be used???

I really like / love this and want to try and make a 'family' portrait and use them for the video's I make for my nephews...

again, really great work, and it brings lots of enjoyment....

There are head packs to use which you can customize the head, it's only a texture change but iit works good :) the ones I use are on the Universe Replacer subreddit (here) And if you're not too bad at photoshop/gimp/etc you can customize them however you need :)

lol... it's totally wrong that Will Riker's kerbal actually looks more like Will Riker than Jonathan Frakes ever did.

Suggestion:

The shader done by Shaw and Rbray have a lot of possibilities! Would be posssible to have a secundary reflection for when the kerbals are grounded in other planets or moons?

Yes, that would be great!

Or maybe just a button or so to deactivate the reflection if the environment is to different from the starmap...

Everyone's talking about visor reflections and I'm sitting here trying to find a way to make my texture pack update sound just as awesome. I think this is the last update unless that NASA redirect mission asteroid has a moddable texture. I'd move on to other stuff, but Proot is doing a great job at the non-planet stuff and I don't think I'd be able to out-magic him. :P

I've followed Shaw and Papic's advices, so here comes the first update, please delete and clean the previous version of the pack to avoid problems:

[/B]- Added 2 Generic female heads.
- Added Kerbin 8K revamp (small changes at color, biomes are a bit more distinguishable now, added a very subtle touch of noise/rugosity to all surface to reach more realism -perfect flat surfaces are unnatural and boring-).
- Added Mun 4K revamp (based on [URL="http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/members/100036-Endraxial"][B]Endraxial[/B][/URL] texture[URL="http://www.reddit.com/r/KSPTexturePacks/comments/1sdhc1/best_textures_for_mun_that_keep_biome_visibility/"] http://www.reddit.com/r/KSPTexturePacks/comments/1sdhc1/best_textures_for_mun_that_keep_biome_visibility/[/URL] , added subtle touches of color to the grey dust+rugosity).
- Added Minimus 4K revamp (100% new revamp, very close to stock colors but the surface draw have more volumes, tones and rugosity now, the crystalline areas have his subtle brights, as must be).
- Added Duna 4k revamp (small changes at color and surface draw in order to reach more similarity to mars aspect and palette, but without lose the red stock aspect of Duna).
- New skybox 4k (based on [URL]http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/44135-0-22-Universe-Replacer-v4-0/page28?p=574333&viewfull=1#post574333[/URL], revamp in HD and endeavouring to reach realistic colors, thanks to Papic for the advices and help, now the starfield have a "milky way" look and behavior).
- Optional Jool revamp in low-res (made for use as base layer with [URL="http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55905-0-23-Release-6-7-Visual-Enhancements-Clouds-City-Lights?p=923843&viewfull=1#post923843"][I]pimp my clouds[/I][/URL])
-All textures are now in high-optimized PNG format, so the size of the pack has decreased considerably, even with all the new textures! (thanks to Shaw for the "101" about PNG optimization!).

I tried and tried downloading this..but the dang download just won't work..You need to make a more reliable download.

This may be outside the realm of feasibility (or good taste), but has anyone suggested the idea of some sort of HUD reflection for visors?

Same, I tried downloading it as Proot suggested it complements his HD Clouds. I wonder if there is a new version.

I have an issue with MEGA and having to reload sometimes for the download link to appear. I'm sure he'll add a mirror download for it soon. Shame the site has issues, because at least it doesn't throw CAPTCHAs in your face.

How far can we take this mod before it needs to have a name change? What's next, lens flares? Customizable solar lighting? Water shaders?!

Something like this could be possible :D My initial thought was integrating it into the visor reflection textures but that wouldn't work :P In order to make something that worked like so all you'd have to do is draw it into the visor texture itself, however getting it to be bright against the kerbal or make light is something that a future version of the plugin would need to do

And just to add to the madness, had a crazy idea I appreciate isn't really feasible...

RasterPropMonitor + Hullcam VDS = 'true' reflections for visor environmental mapping?

I know, I know... even if it could work, it would probably melt my rig or run in slideshow mode. Still...!

Way too clumsy solution. Reflection Plugin would be a proper solution. However, it's for parts only and making it work with visors would take some work.

I have plans to (maybe) implement such functionality in TR somewhere in distant future.

Just put UR textures into `GameData/TextureReplacer/Default/` (or its subdirectories) and rename it according to the first post/README. Watch for uppercase/lowercase letters.
