Can you transfer crew between docked ships without EVA? (ver 22)

Recommended Posts

Things are going well so far. I have made a light orbiter vehicle, LKO space-station and a drone tanker to look after it.

What I can't do though is transger crew between ships without using EVA. Some VIPs are waiting to visit the station and I can't ask them to do anything that dangerous!

So the question is - can you transfer crew between docked ships in version 22 without using EVA and, if so, how?

Shouldn't be too difficult to implement a system which checks for a continuous line of parts flagged as passable from the Kerbal's position to the destination to see if they can be transferred. It would take a bit of work tweaking it to work correctly in all situations, however. For instance, two structural fuselages end-to-end could ransfer a Kerbal through, but not if they were side-by-side.

Thanks all - 'no' saves hours of pointless trying. I'd better get practicising EVA then :-)

Best way to practice in a low-pressure situation is to land on Minmus or Mun and practice flying across the terrain, hopping over boulders or your ship, and finally flying up to and grabbed the hatch without climbing a ladder. Once you've got that down, doing it in space will be no problem.
