I think i met the kraken...No pics because it was random and fast!

Recommended Posts

Well, I was driving my "Orion" Rocket to space. Doing my gravity turn and it was really hard because the rocket wanted to go different ways. Then, Suddenly...My rocket's booster engines (they had fuel tanks and mainsails) as they ran low on fuel one drop of fuel left out of NOWHERE one of the engines detach without me even pressing space, Upon impact the engine started turning then broke into pieces, Then the WHOLE transfer stage BLEW UP! Leaving only the lander stage! I think i met the kraken...Did i meet it? Or was it a freak accident?

I'm pretty sure it was the Wormhole Kraken. This one causes parts with too low structural integrity to collapse inward and allow the parts connected underneath to push through the rocket--then when the parts reach the top of your rocket or some other crucial point, the Wormhole Kraken takes a bite out of your ship and makes it explode into tiny pieces. Struts tend to fix it but it can generally also be fixed by decreasing the throttle towards the end of a burn to make sure the thrust doesn't go too high. Some decouplers fail at around maybe 10-15 Gs, and if you're using docking ports, they can fail at even less.
