Spartwo
Because this is becoming a common occurrence..I've had to take a look at the frame itself which has been unchanged for nearly a year.Slightly more parts. But it does allow for a higher carrying capacity and fuel load. I will be reducing it's length and reorganising it's outfit as scanning only takes a few seconds for some damn reason.
Starwhip
managed to get to the sweet spot of my jet engines dry bearing, for my new animated jet engines this bearing is so efficient that it's best to only trim the roll for the fans to 50% (100% works too, but they spin so fast that it almost seems they are not moving, whereas at 50% you can see them spinning correctly )release of a pack of those engines soon two versions of the engines (not including long duct versions for tails - each model has it's tail variation avaible), 1 shorter, lighter but with only 1 basic jet engine, and the one you see in the gif with two clipped basic jet engines here's a small gif of an engine startup, and static stress test of the latest version of the KF-6-50 (also included, a version with a long air duct, for use in tails )clic the image to see the stress test http://i.imgur.com/mFJsY5Rl.gifthis tweaked fan don't jam (even inflight)their diameter is around 2m HOLY CRAP, that thing is stock?!?! KotDemopan
Seeing as i don't want one Late '60s 1.0 KSP Muscle Car to be downloadable, i decided to set up a dowload link for mine.Although the rear spoiler might slow down the Lansing Panther a bitGet your Kerbal Space Program version of a crossbreed between a 1967 Pontiac Firebird and a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in the link below!http://www./download/988j2j9ojbssir3/Lansing+Panther.zipAlso, more pictures! Majorjim!
those dry bearings are only made of 5 parts !- 1x fairing (specially shaped using the technique to create open ended fairings i posted in the open source thread) - 1x 1.25m decoupler, - 1x 1.25 m reaction wheel,- 1x okto2 probecore and - 1x RTG to power the thing the rest is a lot of hours of finetweaking the offset of all those parts the fan itself is made of 13 parts : - 12x atmospheric fluid spectro-variometers, - 1x 0.625m nosecone yet, those bearings are a bit jumpy some times among all the tests i realised, they can still jam with vertical g's (at +3g, they can jam - not much a problem besides stopping the fan though - a single trimmed SAS unit has negligible effects on the airframe) - though most airliners are not tested above +2.5G's - so unless you pull stunts with an airliner ^^ (though, hard landings can generate those G's ingame Squad needs to update those new landing gears with suspensions to cushion the landings ^^)Dammit, I need to spread my rep.. Stop being so awesome!
Roflcopterkklol
Im about to give up on this shuttle... it makes orbit but i cant get it to land, goes through re-entry fine its when i try to bring the pitch back to level at 5km, it explodes... still think i might be terrible at shuttles. Roflcopterkklol
More air brakes? :3Naww its not heat ripping it to bits, more space tape if anything, its already more parts than an SSTO though im not seeing the point, its also 1.2 million credits to launch it

Roflcopterkklol
Ah, the good ol cardboard joints xD Ever tried putting struts in between mk3 parts (offset tool helps) to reinforce the joints?Yeah it has that already lol thats why im a bit lost on the matter hahaI don't use the offset tool though thats an idea, i always used a cubic strut first, lets you put a strut down the inside Edited May 17, 2015 by Roflcopterkklol
SHiftER2O
Yeah it has that already lol thats why im a bit lost on the matter hahaBy how much though? I usually go radial 6 on the joints, or radial 8-12 if I feel less confident about it

SHiftER2O
You could ditch the cubic struts and go direct fuselage-strut-fuselage to decrease the part count, at leas give offset this one chance
Roflcopterkklol
You could ditch the cubic struts and go direct fuselage-strut-fuselage to decrease the part count, at leas give offset this one chance it wont help all that much tbh the part count is up at over
SHiftER2O
it wont help all that much tbh the part count is up at over 350Well it could help a teeny weeny bit xD but I digress, feel free in other solutions you could also try to change your descent profile, or more air brakes
Nik_601
I had free time on last weekend (finally), so I've build some planes:An-74MiG-19MiG-
sgt_flyer
@Nik_601my animated stock turbofans are now avaible as subassemblies (with optionnal engine mounts), if you need them for your antonov 25 or 26 parts per engine, depending on if you need the 105kN or the 210kN version of the engine http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/121800-Kerbal-Electric-animated-Turbofan-engines Edited May 17, 2015 by sgt_flyer
Captain Sierra
My Positron lifter family (named because the original, first pic, looked kinda like a Proton). Gonna release it as subassembly components, build your own launch vehicle.WIth the max possible combination, you can put over 200 tons in orbit at once. Aanker
That is correct (see 1:52 for a maneuver that these planes could do long before there even was a Russian translation for 'cobra' )It so happens that it is one of my favorite aircraft, as Captain Sierra put it, its shape demands the use of words we would typically reserve for other things than the materialistic.
