Woopert
at @astropapi1 and Majorjim, great to hear you're all working on Dream Chasers! I really love the Dream Chaser and it's nice to see more being made available on the forums. I've tried many times and always give up because lifting bodies are so hard to make in stock KSP. The curves on the spacecraft are also difficult to replicate _jack has also made a nice Dream Chaser here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/67474-_jack-s-Rocket-Building-Company/page2

I saw his dream chasers earlier today. I like them too. Especially the fact that they seat three Kerbals. The one I am working on is a single seat. You are right about the lifting bodies.. It doesn't really work for a multi-part weighty craft like these. There are ways round it though. The curves on the spacecraft are also difficult to replicate Its very tempting to post a picture... But I'm not showing anything yet. Anyway, lots of work to do. MJ
andrew123
I have another slipspace drive, and may be able to recreate the phenomena in space like this:Javascript is disabled. sgt_flyer
oook a few days ago, i posted this on the open source aesthetics thread I have built a new version of my stock linear aerospike, which is more powerful, has nicer effects, and has less parts (also, it is better scaled for 2.5m fuel tanks)here's a night shot (only the engine is visible )some stats of the engine subassembly : part count : 53 partsMass : 7.86tvertical thrust (obtained by RCS Helper, as the 48-7s and 24-77 are at an angle) 1217kNengine TWR : 15.75engine ISP : 359.60 struts, 0 symmetry (so no subassembly / symmetry usage problems)no gimbals (not really usable with the kind of assembly i used )no flanks like the last one (you simply put them side by side as you want, and then add your own flanks on each end as you see fit )the engine assembly (the 'root' part of the subassembly is the Rockomax adapter at the bottom - it's less heavy than a 2.5m battery and has less downsides for this aerospike than the flat adapter)ascent of the test craftorbital shot of the test craftif it was possible, i would like for people to test it a bit, if there are some critical flaws remaining - on the tests i made myself (on the test craft visible on the pics) it seems that placing the subassembly 1 by 1 results in stronger connections for the 48-7s. copying it through symmetry resulted in weaker joints for the 48-7s, and some of them managed to get their thrust in the nozzle - resulting in a tumbling craft here's the subassembly itself : http://www./view/xi48yajdclodemz/Linear_Aerospike_MKII.craftand the test craft i made with two of them.http://www./view/2df47q5i7fs9aud/Test_linear_aerospike.craftHave Fun ! Redrobin
No, I mean real as in it doesn't use command seats or nukes.
Woopert
I made some edits to my small shuttle:http://i.imgur.com/B7r3zCL.pngThat space shuttle is looking sweet! Is it ready to be updated on the Space Shuttle Turbo thread? I've been working on an Interplanetary Booster Ship. It is comprised of an interplanetary booster with 2 nuclear engines, a lab that will land on Duna, a Duna capable lander (that can make orbit from the surface), and of course the CSM. It's been tested and the exhaust doesn't hit or damage any of the components.

Genolution
Update: Trying to keep it simple to keep part count down but I managed to make the saucer section removable with a sr. docking port.
Majorjim!
Hi all, I am very close to finishing my dream chaser rocket and space plane.I only have a few little tests to do. I need to check the strength of the rear docking port and check the glide path when fully fueled.I have taken it up to 150k m orbit and then back to kerbin and she behaved impeccably. She glides very well. Anyway, the pics!!I'm really happy with this one! Its a lot of fun to fly.MJ

Genolution
Congratulations. You just won the internet. \o/ Thank you but I have yet to successfully get it outside the VAB or SPH. If I ever manage to fly this thing I'll need pretty much every cheat in the book.
