Same craft only viewing it from a different angle. It only happens in Kerbin orbit and only affected at night - spin the view around any ship and it starts to fade out and then back in again. :/

Its happened for a while but I just thought I'll post it when I finished the next launch.... yeah.

Well that's one of the more interesting bugs I've seen. If I had to take a guess it would be the city lights and clouds mod, have you tried removing that one and seeing if it still happens?

Kidding aside, is it just a graphics weirdness? Can you use/interact with the parts?

I think there's a cloaked ship nearby.

I'd check the docking alignment and City Lights/Clouds. I've never seen that effect before and I play with KAS/Kethane/MechJeb a lot.

Looks like the textures aren't loading properly for some reason. You're getting diffuse and specular it seems, but for some reason it's making the models transparent. It might be because you have more parts than your computer can handle.

First thing I usually do when I start having graphics visual issues or performance problems is make double sure I'm on the latest drivers for my video card.

I play with all of those mods except docking alignment, so maybe its that clashing with one of the other mods. I'd guess it was clouds and city lights.

I play with all those, and many more, deffinately an odd bug, but one I've never encountered before. If it's still usable the best you can do is see if it's repeatable in the stock game, and then submit a bug report.

I removed clouds and city lights and the problem seems to have gone away. So it must be a fault with that mod - no seriously it must be a problem with my graphics not playing well with the mod so I'll have to update my drivers at some point when I'm brave enough to!!

It seems strange as it only happens at a certain point in my orbit (almost total darkness) and only when I'm viewing the craft from a certain angle - it never occurred to me to try and interact with any invisible parts so I cant tell if I could or not - I usually just move my view slightly when I needed to see the damn thing

I saw something similar just before Christmas. Kerbal Engineer Redux is the only mod I have installed though I am running on a pretty low spec laptop (Core Duo T2600 2.16Ghz, NVidia Quadro 110M graphics, 32bit windows, 3GB RAM)...
