What voice do you read in?

As in, what voice do you have in your head when reading on the forums?

Me? Depends on the nature of the post. If it's got a lot of spelling/grammar errors (I skim it before actually reading it) I read it with a voice kinda like Borat (from the movie "Borat"), if it's scientific I read it like Jim Parsons (I'm a Big Bang Theory fan) explains/talks about something scientific (i.e. kinda fast without stopping to breathe). If it's just a joking post, I read it in a Texas accent. Otherwise, I read it like usual.

What about you?

depends on the maturity of the user and how knowledgeable they are. this can range anywhere from lemmy from motorhead to my 5 year old neice. people who are obviously russian i imagine the voice from the russian cosmonaut from armageddon. if i think you are canadian, i add random ehs.

no 'audible' voice. Well, now that I thought about it like that, I suppose I use my own speech pre-processor thing so it 'sounds' like how things sound when I'm just about to say them myself. Eh, dunno. All the same though! No difference between users/style

I also read in a version of my own voice, which varies from high to low pitch depending on my subconscious impression of the poster.

If I've heard them in a youtube video, or something, then my brain reads the words in the voice I remember hearing.

It varies, if someone's posts makes them look like a jerk all the time, i sometimes read it quicker and at a higher "Tone". Although i never purposely do this.

If i know the person's personality well enough, my brain seems to randomly associate a voice with that poster. Each person is slightly different.

Anyone who i haven't figured out yet, reads as a monotone voice of my own.

This is quite an interesting topic now that you've brought it up, i never really had though about how i read until now.
