If you want to do non-androgynous docking ports, it might help to exploit a bug in KSP. Currently, a docking port with two docking port modules (let's just say one size1 docking module and one size2 docking module) can't dock with another, identical docking port. However, a docking port with size2 or size1 will dock to it without problems. This can probably be exploited with this setup:

The probe:

MODULE
{
name = ModuleDockingNode
referenceAttachNode = top
nodeType = probe
}

MODULE
{
name = ModuleDockingNode
referenceAttachNode = top
nodeType = placeholder
}

And the drogue:

MODULE
{
name = ModuleDockingNode
referenceAttachNode = top
nodeType = drogue
}

MODULE
{
name = ModuleDockingNode
referenceAttachNode = top
nodeType = placeholder
}

Try it out, it might actually work.

Sorry for the late reply, but the forum was'nt showing me new posts here.

This is coming along really well! Keep it up! c: If you ever need a tester, shoot me a PM.

I'll release the first "beta" when I've karya finished and the docking ports done. The PMA already works great. (I use curently the PMA and a testing 1.5m CBM port on my private career save)

Anyways thanks for your interest.

That's awesome. Thanks a lot for this informations. I'll test that :)

Does it work? I never actually tried it myself.

Guess no, because the KW Rocketry 3.75m docking ring is using multiple modules too for being compatible with multiple port sizes.

Has there been any progress on the stockalike ISS? :)

ATM I'm really busy. So I've to wait for a free time window to do the UV-mapping and collider for the karya model.

Some functional ingame testing was done with the 1.5m CBM port and the PMA. both works fine :)

I love the ISS community Mod but it can be really laggy, its not quite finished, and it has its bugs. I look forward to this because if you combine it with Fustek ISS parts you could make a pretty solid ISS. IDK if you plan on doing the American parts, thats why I mentioned Fusteks, but from what I have seen of the Russian parts I am really excited. Cheers man and good luck.

Thanks :)

I'll do all the ISS modules. And my plan is to add functionality from the station science mod (not exactly like the actual station science, but something near). And since the contract system is added I was thinking about special space station contracts. But this will follow at a late stage, because I'm not into the plugins creating stuff right now. So first I want to focus on 3D modeling.

Sure, you can put the station together like you want, but thefustek parts are 2.5m size. the (amercian) modules will have something about 3m diameter. But I've to test it against the CBM diameter, how it looks. So it could be a litle bit biger or smaller than 3m. The russian modules have max. 2.5m diameter, like stock.

Sorry for the late response, but this forum does not notify me about new posting in my thread.

Is this mod dead?

not dead (all the files still exist), but had no time yet to continue. as I started this project spare time was not so rare like yet. I hope I'll find some time again. I definetly have'nt give up on this project, but that's all what I can tell at the moment.
