The animations that you\'ve shown in your videos of the panels look sweet as. Would it be possible for you to get the the panels to auto-track the sun and the radiators to auto-anti-track (is that even a word?) the sun?

have attempted to contact the powertech guy. so we will see what he says when he gets on i guess. Alchemist is his name as i recall.

as much as I like the features unity has added I must say i am annoyed and pleased by it at the same time. I have exported this engine several hundred times today been trying to get it t work properly for like 8 hours... it seems there is always one thing wrong with it and it is different every time.... FFS...

but in the end it is worth the learning experience.

what is that capsule shown in the moon plan? and what is the large thing in the middle of it? also, more information on all of this would be useful.

If you mean pictures from my 688\'th reply - it is only a concept, so there is no detailed information.

I have bene interested in making a capsule for Angara.

I think that TKS VA is quite enough. But if you want to add another capsule, the best candidate is PPTS, which was chosen to replace Soyuz (http://www.russianspaceweb.com/acts.html):

I like new RCS thrusters!

I hope that a smaller version of RD-0146 will remain in the pack (along with the possibility to attach more than one to KVTK). Like another modification or something. That one was very good too (and not so big - it is also important ;)).

nah that is the rd-0146 now. the nozzle extension doesn\'t work right now anyway so it hardly matters. as for the RCS. those are the Angara RCS thrusters. (space ones the others are launch RCS)

The larger RD is a result of the landing engines power. it still uses the same fuel and such. it is just bigger. I might scale it down alittle again in the future after the nozzle extension works again.

I followed the node hotfix instructions, but even then I\'m only able to attach things on the top and bottom.

then submit a bug in the bug forums. They don\'t like when I do it. I am aware they are quite broken.

It\'s my birthday :D

in other news. trying to give station parts a purpose. 8)

Happy Birthday mate :)

I modded some of your 1m parts to use l00\'s ZO2 system for my everyday spacecraft. You can easily adapt your solar panels to use the PowerTech plugin, which also provides power to the ZO2 system.

this maraz guy is trying to convince me to use you and l00 stuff.

I sort of like it but i want station parts to make heat and thus need radiators if they do have power and zo2.

Some time ago i gave some suggestions to Kreuzung for his Electrical plugin module and how he could integrate it with Radiators, i tought about it and i ended up with the following:

'Resource' Types

1) Energy

- All modules use a fixed amount of energy for operation

- During 'night' all modules use an increased amount of energy for heating

- Solar Panels generate energy and heat during day

- Batteries store energy

2) ZO2

- Every 'habitable' module consume ZO2 based on size and purpose

- Zoxygen filters generate ZO2 using energy

- Elektron devices are consumable 'one activation' items that boost ZO2 quickly consuming pellets charges

3) Heat

- All modules generate heat during operation

- During 'day' all modules generate additional heat

- Deployed radiators during day reduce overall heat

- Deployed radiatros during night reduce a LOT MORE overall heat

We can mix these 3 'resources' so that:

- If ZO2 finish Kerbals die.

- If heat reaches to high levels Kerbals die.

- If heat reaches to low levels Kerbals die.

I have tryed to end up with a 'plan' for reproducing Mir using the stated assumptions:

Mir Core Module

Consume Energy

Consume Heat during night

Generate Heat during day

Generate ZO2 Consuming Energy

ZO2 Storage

RCS Fuel Storage

Battery

Kvant-1

Consume Energy

Generate Heat

Generate ZO2 On-Demand with Elektron consumable pellets

Gyrodines for altitude control

RCS Fuel Storage

Battery

Kvant-2

Consume Energy

Generate Heat

Gyrodines for altitude control

Whatever...

Kristall

Consume Energy

Generate Heat

Gyrodines for altitude control

Spektr

Consume Energy

Generate Heat

Gyrodines for altitude control

Generate ZO2 Consuming Energy

ZO2 Storage

RCS Fuel Storage

Battery

Priroda

Consume Energy

Generate Heat

Gyrodines for altitude control

Whatever...

Solar Panels

Generate Energy during day

Generate Heat during day

Radiators

Reduce Heat during day

Reduce a LOT of heat during night

Actually, i have checked out a bit the way Plugins are developed in KSP and if someone like Kreuzung want some help for developing a 'good' integrated system i\'m available to speak a bit over skype for organizing the work

Probably sounding like an idiot when I say this, but is it on purpose that the automated stage creation doesn\'t work on these parts? Like, for example, with normal parts you put on a decoupler and it adds a new stage for it and then another below that for what you put below that decoupler, while these parts all get grouped into one stage. It\'s not gamebreaking or anything, but having to manually put in all the staging gets annoying on bigger spacecraft.

does anyone know of a solution for this? I too hate this :(

anyway. current plans....

TL;DR = redoing things that you will see more such as orbital modules and SSPP and leaving angara stuff for 0.15 updating for last as you only look at it for a few minutes during launch.

I want to fix the RD-0146 texture today. add some specular to it.

Then i will start getting speculars on the LK and KVTK units and get this released for angara package add on.

Then I will probably go back and redo solar panel UV mapping to make them fit the new standards. AKA one sided and give them better textures as well as speculars and such.

after that I will probably get to a SSPP redo with normal maps and such. for SSPP I am looking for something along the lines of a new texture and or look? does anyone have a preferense of better textures and colors?

Ooh! I think I found the issue! This is taken from one of Kosmos\'s decouplers:

//stageOffset = 1

//childStageOffset = 1

See the two dashes? I\'m pretty sure that makes the config ignore the text after it.

play around them them. I don;t have time. you remove the dashes and make them 1 or -1 or 0 and it will do different things. but as i stated I don\'t have time. If you solve the problem i will gladly apply a fix for the next release.

There are params for creating new stages above and below. Look at the stock decouplers and maybe at Down Unders retro boosters, I think you have to use it in a different way for separation boosters (if this contains some, I don\'t have an overwiev about it)

Semi-ninja\'d

So, I took the Conical Booster Decoupler (It was the first one I saw), edited the config file and got rid of the dashes right there, AND IT WORKED! It created a new stage for the decoupler and another one for what went below it. Therefore, all you have to do is remove a few dashes from each .cfg and it\'ll work perfectly :D

Sounds you have plans to keep you busy until your next birthday :)

Maybe you could go for a more white-cream color than the current green, or just lighten it a bit.
