I have a probe core in every craft. Processing labs and hitchhiker storages are often the only manned portions on my crafts.

I voted mk 1 lander can. Mostly because I like how it looks. The mk 1 pod and mk1-2 are close second places for me as far as stock pods go of course.

I voted for the Mk2 Lander-can. If I want to send two Kerbals it's a lot lighter than the Mk1-2 pod, and does nicely on all sorts of ships.

Mind you, that low crash tolerance is a bit of a worry. I've got a couple of ships where I was going to land it under chute, maybe I'll park in LKO and send the crew down in a bus instead.

I'm mostly concerned of aesthetics, so I vote for the Apollo-ish capsule. It's works both for my rockets and planes.

I wish they made better plane cockpits though... The 2 small ones look very inappropriate for this game, and the big one is just super ugly :^(

I use several, but an upside down cupola at the bottom of a very low CG lander with tanks all around it is one favourite as the view from IVA is spectacular. The Mk-1 Lander Can because of it's extremely efficient weight is another favourite and of course no armada would be complete without a Mk 1-2 command pod to bring the rest of the crew home in.

Mark 1-2, hands down. But I will admit that I absolutely LOVE the views from the cupola, I make it a point to put at least on on each of my space stations as a "control tower".

My standard command pod is a Mk1-2 with a hitchhiker. The big lander can is also nice for short non-atmospheric trips. The best use for the cupola module is IVA ascent with the cupola placed looking down.

Lawn chair all the way. Despite being the less realistic one, it's very Kerbal to make a big firework, strap a chair on top of it and send Jebdiah up for a ride

Yeah, I know it's not stock, but just look at how gorgeous that IVA is. When running instrumentation-heavy the multiple digital displays are actually way better at information accessibility than HUD overlays. Indeed, I can do an IVA mission almost entirely with the game UI toggled off via F2, only needing to stop to run/transmit science.

I don't have a "favorite" but my most used is the Mk1 Lander Can. Other than the chair (which can be a pain to design around and use in-mission) it's the lightest way to get a Kerbal into space.

Definitely Mk 1 lander can, since its a good piece to build around. Mk-2 lander can and hitchhiker come second. Mk 1-2 Command pod would be great if its slanted sides were not pain to work with. (Is this why there are no stock vostok- or soyuz-like pods?)

Mk 1 Cockpit. Mainly cos it looks awesome. Also IVA is awesome. Also because 45m/s crash tolerance (you have no idea how much I rely on this).

MK-1 Lander Can is my personal favorite. It allows for decent lander designs and I can place most of my science needs on it without any hassle.

I'd say Mk2 or Mk3 Cockpit is they had interiors, but as it stands, it's the Mk1-2 Pod. Watching Duna revolve silently in the side-window while in orbit never gets old.

I am surprised the cupola scores so low. That is my favorite because I think it looks so much better than the rest both outside and in the IVA view.

The only negative is that it takes only one person.

Though if they gave us some more structural parts like for example transparent panels/glass panels I would prefer to build my own pods from scratch.

Mk2 lander. 2 kerbals is enough for most missions, including science lab. It is low mass and sturdy enough to survive atmospheric reentry.

I hate pretty much all of them as in most you can't see out properly. Like i've never been able to keep flying when in cockpit view.
