Hey Kart, just one thing about Dragon you should know. Dragon's solar panels (and the entire trunk) actually aren't aligned with the central plane. If you look at the image below you'll see what I mean.

You can see that Dragon's trunk appears like it's rotated around the "roll" axis, to a noticeable degree. However the solar panels appear to correct for that and actually are aligned with the "left-right" axis.

Sorry to be the guy that points out the tiny details.

Am I the only one that STILL has the fairings not seperating?

Are you using RSS or stock KSP? I dealt with some issues in RSS with the fairings until I grabbed the Realism Overhaul configs and his sep-motor model, always told me "cannot deploy while stowed" . Also make sure you have the sep-motors in the fairing if you're using stock, the saved crafts have them.

@Delta_8930: Hm, I will increase decoupling force. For now, try to point the rocket perfectly at prograde.

@sciencepanda: Yeah I know, I also have some other good images showing this, the sketchfab model of Dragon attached to the Falcon 9 is just a mockup, since F9 1.0 never actually flew with a PF.

@trooperMNG: I don't know if I will make the Dragons at all. LazTek made pretty good models of those, I know the scale is not matching, but that could also be fixed via a MM-patch or something.

Though maybe, if I have the motivation, I will also try doing the Dragons, why not? But I will concentrate on Falcon family first.

As far as I know, liquidhype plans to do the Titans in his mod, or at least the Titan IV, so I don't want to get there in his way.

No, but I am working on Falcon 9s textures right now, I should be finished by monday.

Yes, liquidhype closed his thread due to real life complications, let's say. He'll reopen it, and will also continue working on his mod, but it'll probably stay closed for a while.

Thanks, about two weeks, if no issues occur during testing. I will just do the Dragon mockup now, and finish the payload fairing, and I will post some images then again, of the full rocket.

Now on to Unity. I've updated the texture quality of the SpaceX logo on S1, it is not that pixelated any more now. I am really happy with it now, you guys too?

(And yes, I've also made a payload fairing for it, in case you don't always want to launch that Dragon mockup )

Ooh, smexy. Is the falcon basically the Dragon Spacecraft Qualification Unit at this point?

Yes, it is. The combination on the images is the one of the first Falcon 9 launch, meaning the Dragon mockup plus F9 1.0.

Finished all critical components, balancing seems to be good enough now (~8t to LKO). Need to do some small modifications to the 1st stage, and then let it over to the Dragon for testing. I'm excited for this release, I have to say!
