I must admit, the effect on that Vostok Stage engine is really gorgeous! May we have the same on other Tavio engines? That blue-violet is nice too, but it is suitable only on UDMH engines as on Proton, but on Kerosene R-7 it looks not so good. :)

I'm not sure, Tantares is already on CKAN.

This thing is interesting too though, thanks, I'll take a look :)

For development, I'm using my trusty SVN server - no risk of losing everything.

AVC doesn't host anything but the version file. You update it when you make a new version, and folks with AVC installed see this when KSP loads:

Antenna Farm is a pack I made just for myself to use RemoteTech antennas like regular antennas without RemoteTech installed. I made the versioning just to see how AVC worked.

We All Would Like An Adorable Little Sentient Loaf Staring at us while we Sleep. But, As With All Plushes somebody is going to end up adding a strategically placed hole in it. *Shudder*

That's for someone who loves the mod TOO much. :D

I use them as grid fins....

I just wish they were NOT solar panels since they rip off when deployed during an abort

(and yes, the fairing spits horizontally for aborts and vertically for normal fairing ejection in flight - I'm a bit OCD )

I'll pretend the latter half of page 326 does not exist

I agree with this, current choice is due to no exhaust_red, only exhaust_red_small is available, so I'd need to make my own Kerosene effect. :)

Somewhat related, you are a good person to ask: The Proton is all unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine and N Tetroxide mix for fuel?

What colour does that burn, gah...

I would love to see a fregat upper stage come out of this mod. That, and more Soviet probes.
I second that
I'd vote for Block-D instead of Fregat, but still would be nice.

Why not both indeed!

Yes, upper stages are becoming too important to be ignored...

Oh okay! I do understand better!

It seems fairly easy to implement this, as long as I keep it up to date, why not? :)

Also, I understood that those FOBO solar panels can be nice for something Luna-9-like:

Cool! I like seeing new uses for parts! In lieu of any bespoke Luna-9 parts, maybe in Bobcat or RaiderNick packs there is one? I like it a lot :)

It is cool!

I really like the LES(?) setup you've got there, it has extra separatrons?

Well, I am continue to model the Proton.

Using this as reference for sizing, it's a pretty bare-bones SVG, but it seems accurate enough.

I had an idea making fairing for Tantares stuff, but I became just too lazy. And for the girders, I use ones from RLA mod.

Yeah, on all stages. It's one of the reason TKS never flew manned: it's more toxic than WWI poisons.

Ooh! That's pretty interesting, in a morbid kind of way...

Well, it seems a bright orange flame currently on Proton is mostly suitable...?

Apart from a few weird pictures where it is quite diluted (While still in lower atmosphere?)

Gird fin fairings would be cool! (No pressure  )

Also, this has creeped me out, a little bit.

I think it's fine. :)

I understand that, I have an unfinished model without fins which makes me feel ashamed.

Meanwhile, RSSA (a small allusion to RKKA, or, as it is known in West: Red Army) has a Soyuz-3, Soyuz-4 and Soyuz-5, in our reality it was Soyuz-6, 7 and 8 respectively:

Maybe I kid for the fairings, not sure how practical it would be with weird shapes for Salyut / TKS.

The first triple rendezvous! (I think...)

Real cool

Need to redo Tantares OM, so window faces forward in flight, would be much more useful for "scenic" shots like this.

Proton Mockup.

Let's call this a "boilerplate" ?

The sizing seems quite better.

Size comparison to old one (right), seems less top heavy.

You are right, it's first triple rendez-vous and what is most important - the first welding in space. Which allowed many awesome things as repair in space (Salyut and Mir) and other complicated assembly stuff. :)

Yeah, in my dreams it would be something with special L2/L3 placement for N-1/L3 Lunar project, a specialy shaped TKS fairing and a generic "Proton payload" fairing which could be hiding Salyut/Mir/ISS parts. But since I have a hard time making making even Soyuz fairings it may stay in my dreams. :(

It looks nice! Will you make other fairings for the 3rd stage engine or the engines will be untouched?

Nice!!!

No more tipping over during my gravity turn!!

Can you give a release date???

*puppy eyes* please?

Haha thanks!

It's hard to say, a part a day? sometimes...

Next week maybe?

Even more interesting! Thanks for the info. :)

Thanks! Engines, will be completely re-done, the current ones are very unlike the real deal:

prot_95big.jpg

But, for sizing, the old ones are vaguely the same dimensions, so shouldn't change to much.

So, yeah the third stage will have the correct "closed" fairings.

The RD-0210 has a wider bell nozzle than what the current "ALV Engine" has.
