I can't do a proper launch anymore (both manual and mechjeb)-Soyuz on top, TFT 15-198 + Waymaker second stage, TFT 10-630 + TFT 11-765 + Seal first stage and 4 TFT 10-450 + Walrus boosters. In other words, standard Soyuz/Progress. I even tried adding some little Otter gimballing motors. Launch, gradual gravity turn (not too vertical or too curved), and right when aero forces begin to strike the craft the boosters detach (burn-out) and I lose control of the rocket (flipped over by aero forces, as showed by aero forces overlay). Assuming Mk1 Command Pod is exactly the same size as the Mercury capsule: (3.9m)/(1.9m)*1.25 ≈ 2.56m ≈ Stock Mk1-2 Pod Diameter.Assuming Tantares "Khleb" is exactly the same size as the Soyuz capsule: (3.9m)/(2.2m)*1.25 ≈ 2.216m ≈ 2.25mI use the Tantares "Khleb" way more than I use the Mk1 pod, so I use it as a standard for all my scaling. KSP scaling keeps me up at night. I'm actually not sure why it's such a big deal to me, it just is... I have a problem.2.5 is really just close enough. And, given that Tantares doesn't technically have a full set of Apollo parts, it's not an issue to worry about sizing for.- - - Updated - - -I'm not a fan of integrated heat shields. With a separate part, the command module can be used more modular. Realism or not. Also replace WasteWater with Waste I wrote the initial configs for these parts, and currently, the service module is actually OP. It's ISPvac is pretty high, around 330s or so, and it currently holds more fuel than the 1.875m TKS MonoProp tank, which needs to get fixed. I'd like to bring it down to 300 units of MonoProp or so. Admittedly, I didn't spend much time working on the balance. Balance is hard, especially with this vehicle. I can't find propellant or mass specs for the Cygnus Service Module. I know that the ISP is correct though. That stat for the thruster is posted by the manufacturer, IHI. I know the mass of the PCM at around 1,800kg, but I don't know the mass of the service module, so balance is difficult. Even emailed Orbital, with no response. The other parts (return capsule) is something I'd like to do. (The current parts are not that much like the Fobos Grunt).On Fuji, I think is best to just do both Fuji and HTV over hybrid.
