OK got the following error

Those look normal to me. Usually if something's going massively wrong it throws loads of exceptions, not just one or two. Can you launch your game to the same screen, then upload the contents of your KSP.log to pastebin? It might show something. I'm leaning towards a texture issue though. What size textures did you install from CKAN? Try deleting them out of your Gamedata folder and installing them manually from https://github.com/KSP-RO/RSS-Textures.

Cannot get this to work for the life of me.

Started today with clean install of everything.

This is what I have been doing.

Install KSP via steam

Install RO & RSS via CKAN

Install Scatterer via CKAN

DL Win32 EVE overhaul using link in readme file

Extract BoulderCo and EnvironmentalVisualEnhancement folders to Game Data

Delete Atmosphere, CityLights & Terrain folders from inside BoulderCo

Extract RVE folder & scatterer folder (overwrites 2 files) into Game Data (ignore environmentalvisualenhancements in zipfile)

Extract SharedAssets9 file into KSP Data

When I load up the game I get a pink planet on the startup screen. When I go to start a new game I see empty space, no command centre.

This bug is caused with the new version of the EVE overhaul, you have to get this one from before the recent changes

EDIT: 1000'th post!! :D

No idea how to make those album things.

Anyway, got things semi up and running. It looks OK. However, my sun in space is OMGARGHMYEYES. Anyone else had this problem and found a resolution?

Sun is fine until get above 250km? or enter map view. You can see from the images the sun remains huge scrolled out to see whole solar system. It's incredibly offputting. Looks like pixellation too.

Same here with my game. I've found no way of fixing it. It's marginally less annoying if you stick with the stock sun though. Less lens flare.

I was under the impression that the sun is supposed to look like that... I found nothing wrong with it, and I actually found it rather nice.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that is a bug or not. The Sun does look like that in space more or less, but it can be pretty distracting.

It's not so much the size of it, it's the fact that it looks terrible because of the low detail. It looks like a smaller texture that's been stretched too much. If it was remade at a bit more of a higher res, and the in orbit version was toned down massively in size it'd be fine. It makes it hard to look at the map properly.

So then I assume it still happens to you as well and there's no work around you've found yet?

real KSC mod, but I had to place them myself

Found It ! Thanks

What setting do I need to have to reduce how high my blue atmosphere is going into space? Im getting blue still at an altitude of 200k . I want my cut off to be where the official Kármán line is at 100k.

Couple of questions. Does RVE for linux work? I tried to get it up and running last no with no joy.

I used latest rve / eve / scatterer with 1.04.

I remember vaguely reading someone having kerbin atmosphere inside earth which is as far as I got last night before giving up.

So I guess the question is, which versions of linux rve / eve / scatterer do I need to get some semblance of a working rve on linux 1.04 ksp?

OK scratch Linux. Got frustrated and sacked it off.

Windows version now! 64 bit hack. Everything works beautifully except for...

Uniform clouds. I've seen this issue before on the boards but after 4 hours of on and off searching for a solution and messing around, again I'm stumped and am resigned to asking if anyone knows a fix.

You need to increase particle size and/or count.
