Done, number 13 (lucky I hope)... I linked a bunch of reference materials as well. If you would like to discuss I can do a skype call sometime.

hello RoverDude i have an idea for you that you can implement to work along side the derp...

a backpack with a parachute which i tired once but lost interest due to IRL...

should be simple up until actually animating the parachute but would just have to use Kas though which should be fine...

just a suggestion

Check out VNG parachutes, adds parachutes that can be grabbed via eva, also adds an ejection module that can be triggered with the abort button, great for spcaeplans, ejects all kerbals from the cockpit and you can trigger the parachutes on all kerbals in the area by pressing F+spacebar

Hey, just popping in to say that the resource values for TAC life support need to be redone since they went through the rebalancing bit a little while ago, and the new values aren't adjusted for that, just for the standard "1 day" values! Other than that, much appreciated mod.

Something weird is going on with the (small) airbags. When I attach three radially and activate them through an action group, two deploy and one does not. It's not possible to deploy the third one manually. Very strange.

The usual cause of this problem, which affects stock parts as well, is moving symmetrical parts after you've defined the action group for them. Did you do that?

@rottielover - Thanks!

@Akira_R - correct, not touching this as Vanguard already has it covered and my plate is full full full

Thanks, but you must be on an old version because the current one bundled with srvpack has the new TAC values...

Hey,

I haven't used a DERP in awhile, but it seems now the parachute is configured to glitch through the pod? It makes landing upright nicer but looks odd.

SAS?

Dunno. The pod was descending normally with the engine/parachute base at the back. When I deployed the chute I saw it briefly deploy as expected and then the pod snapped around 180 to how it is pictured.

May be some COM stuff, is it still doing this in the experimental version?

It only started with the experimental version. Well I should say it wasn't doing that at the time i did the fork to add science carrying ability to the pod. I dunno if I had tested since then.

Actually I may have an idea what it is, let me test and report back.

RoverDude why did you ditch the black texture option for the pod? :( It was my favorite! It's even in the presentation picture... I had to add the texture back with an old release and a .cfg edit. Won't you make it officially available again?

Are you talking about this one? I'm running the latest experimental version and this texture has always been and is still available. i have not had to add anything from an old release.

@goldenpsp

What the... Yes that's exactly it.

But I download what is released here: https://github.com/BobPalmer/SrvPack/releases. Version 0.1.2 does not have the black scheme.

@RoverDude

What new version? 0.1.2? If that's the one, then the black is not there...

Probably released soon. It is all bundled in the USI_experimental download on dropbox. Keep in mind however this is everything USI (DERP,MKS,Karbonite, etc).

0.1.3 is up!

NOTE!!! FOLDERS HAVE BEEN MOVED! DELETE YOUR OLD USI FOLDER AND REINSTALL ALL USI MODS!

  • KAS tweaks
  • Folder reorg to support package management
  • Science storage added to DERP pods
  • CRP/ORSX/DLL refreshes
  • Brought back the legacy DERP texture (you can still swap to orange or gray)
  • Changed COM/Drag properties back to defaults
  • Updated FireSpitter DLL

It seems you have the "GameData" directory capitalized wrong. This will cause problems for Mac and Linux users, and possibly cause problems for future versions of Windows (according to Microsoft for the past 14 years, hasn't happened yet.)

One question too:

Which parts require the CRP/ORSX plugins? I'm removing the DERP pod, so do I still need those. I'm just trying to keep my modlist lean.
