This song wasn't written by Jeb, it was written by his agent. They had been contracted by the Kerbin government department of propaganda and optimism to create a patriotic video.

I don't have the video, just these stills and lyrics, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

*claps* when reading though it while listing to the music, i start hearing some of the kerbal lyrics instead of the actual ones in the song.

Awesome, I'll take that as a success. Jeb will be selling signed copies outside the astronaut complex tomorrow, but you'll have to catch him before he flies away.

Before I found out what song it was, I was reading it to the tune of "Under The Sea" from The Little Mermaid... :P

Hmmm... can't really see it. Maybe because the original tune is so well stuck in my head.

Definitely Well, maybe verse four will be extra powerful to kerbals who've had their missions suddenly extended indefinitely, but stranded? That's not something any kerbal should worry about. No, this is just a song to make citizens of Kerbin feel all patriotic, and warm inside.

And less likely to complain about stuff.

Anyway, go get your copy now! Available at the KSC gift shop, Astronaut Complex, ground floor, and all good music stores Kerbin wide!

Is that a mainsail on the back of a plane?

It was a shuttle- every engine on it at launch (apart from SRBs) was still there at landing, for reusability. Though in initial experiments, it was basically a plane with a mainsail.

Sadly, I feel I am lacking some of the necessary resources. Such as video editing software good enough to recreate those "stills" in movie form, and also a choir.

Hmmmm.

Might have to give that a go... "Swing low, sweet orbiter, comi..." yep. To the drawing boards!

Funny enough, I have had ideas for a Kerbalised Pokémon theme song floating around for a while. The problem is I can't get words to fit the rhythm, and be thematically coherent.
