There should be something in between STOCK and FAR, as FAR might do to far for some people who like a Aerodynamic model that is nearer to stock, that's why we need NEAR

What do you thing is missing in Stock that should be added in NEAR ? Because NEAR was (mostly) FAR without the UI, the super/hyper sonic effect and the aero stress.

If you want a NEAR experience edit the mach curve in stock to make them flat.

In the Physics.cfg in the KSP directory there are a variety of float curves defined - the 'machcurves' affect drag based on mach value. I think. But don't edit Physics.cfg, because sarbian added the ability to modify those values in ModuleManager. You can also view the curves in the debug menu under Aero I think.

Ah that's where they are. I remember seeing them one time but couldn't find them anymore. Why are they so hidden?
