Could I also create a third party akin to HKA or GMI? It would obviously be called RISE. It would be a semineutral colonization company. Attacks only those who attack it.

Brief Historical Overview - RISE is an indpendent company founded in the garage of Red Kerman. It rose to fame when it recently started constructing orbital waystations which remain neutral to all for free trade.

Colors - Red with White secondary

Flage - To be designed

I do not see why not, you CAN make a separate company that would use your own ships. But you would have to ask HatBat, as he is the one that writes the story and he might see usefulness in adding such a faction, it is better to PM him rather than putting it out on the message board. Oh and BTW, when I mean making your own company, it is basically your own manufacturer and company. Basically it is just like HKA or GMI. Also the next episode is the season finale, so you will have to wait until next season to possibly see it.

Yup, you can make a company. I'm not to sure about this whole idea of additional parties though; Stick to the guidelines for a company, although a whole different party sounds good it simply can't work because I wouldn't be able to lend the KS save file out to these theoretical new parties long enough for them to do any more than move fleets and fight in battles.

Fair points, I suppose I could just send you a persistent with where I want my ships and station(s). And basically that be it. You would control RISE for the benefit of the storyline.

It would be better to just tell him the orbits(apoapsis and periapsis) of each ship and station, as he would not be able to directly integrate to save files.

The Lotus Corporation is a fairly recent player within the space industry. While Lotus Corp has taken its first few steps into space exploration and colonization, it has become apparent in recent times space is not nearly as safe as it once was. In order to protect itself Lotus Corp has expanded its military division and, to make some money on the side, sells its services to other corporations as mercenaries.

The ships designed by the Lotus Corporation are small, sleek, and efficient. With only its destroyers being manned (and by only one kerbal) loss of life is minimalized and weight of the vessels is brought down; this is all thanks to Lotus Corp's highly advanced AI technology allowing the autonomous craft to easily identify enemies and kill on sight. Here at Lotus Corp no money or space is wasted on our craft and our efficient designs makes them the harbingers of death above Kerbin.

With the recent skirmishes escalating into full on battles between HKI and GMI Lotus Corp is in a rather precarious position and must choose a side instead sitting by the sidelines as we are used to. Though HKI hasn't been doing as well recently, both economically and in the public eye, GMI is quite mysterious and shadowy, and such people aren't reliable when you're looking to make a profit. The Lotus Corporation pledges its support to the HKI and shall fly by her side.

Yup, it was a very bittersweet moment. I mean, the news are awesome news but... where does that leave my hard-earned VAB-Fu? Am I going to become a relic, or re-learn my old tricks, maybe even create a few new ones? Well, I suppose I could console myself with the MkIII parts I've always asked for (hopefully) and use clever math to distinguish my designs ;)

Rune. Totally not surprised by upgradable buildings, it was obvious.

Hey Rune,

I too was initially concerned that the new editor changes would effect my building.

Having thought about it I don't think it will have any negative effect though. And I'm sure that there will be a compatibility upgrade for EE that simply

adds any features missing after .26.

Red's Interplanetary Systems Engineering is a corporation that is relatively new, compared to others such as HKA or GMI. It was founded about ten years ago from a successful Kerbstarter campaign. RISE is owned by the aeronautical genius, Red Kerman. The company supports no one but itself, but it doesn't wish to monopolize on outer space like other corporations. Instead they wish for space to become a hub of free trade and science. RISE performs this through various ways, by attacking various other factions who they believe are monopolizing a specific place or resource, and by setting up large space-stations called "Hubs". Hubs are places where there is no violence of any kind, and you can purchase fuel, and various other things including information from RISE's infamous Gaze reconnaissance air group. Despite this mostly pacifist approach to space, no one can argue that they don't have the firepower to back it up. They have an advanced heavy fighter dubbed the Kasimov, after the famous space writer, Isaac Kasimov-Kerman. It is rumored that they are developing heavier ships for a standing combat fleet. They have no allegiances to either HKA or GMI and will quickly attempt to deny any accusations of secretly supporting HKA.

Decided to take a page out of the Tropis' book for the Mk8 Broadsword.

Bayonets are beginning to show their age, it's incredible they lasted this long(They've been around longer than, Hatbat and are the oldest ships still in service without a rebuild pretty much anywhere)

-Part connections are everywhere.

-RCS was added much later.

-Gyros were added later
