It's not. It's the reason why there's going to be a new thread after episode 25. There is no possible way that myself or Scriptkitt3h can look for submissions in a 2500 post thread.

The new thread will be strictly one post per user in the entire thread and I'll see if we can get the help of a moderator to enforce that.

After that the current thread will be used for discussion and notifications to post updates if all goes well.

I must apologize for my mistakes then.

To be honest, I was confused at first sign of these happening, and instead of asking someone or checking the OP, i went ahead and ignored all other input.

I was being an idiot, I can admit that, and for that i must apologize.

I'm really enjoying all this speculation.

Now that much of Kerbin stands united against GMI and their few allies, it does seem likely that they won't be able to maintain their hold on Kerbin for much longer. Though it's worth remembering that GMI are usually one step ahead of HKA in the big picture. GMI didn't blockade Kerbin because they wanted to Kerbin. They did it because they needed to extort Kerbin. GMI has bigger plans.

Custom-shaped turrets, you say?

Just a quick-and-dirty example build on top of my existing MU HT-1.1 Lynx tank's chassis, code-named the Ra due to its unique weapon system.

Essentially, you want to build the "turret" as a shell of wing and/or steel plate armor, and the leave an opening for whatever BDA or stock weapon(s) you want to cram on in. (In this case, a tactical laser.)
Weapons that work well for this method might be things like BDA howitzers, or miniguns, or even stock missile launchers.

I've already built some turrets with these techniques for recon or recovery vehicles mounting a decoy gun. What I'm talking about is a 360 rotation capable one.

Could be done with some stock hinges and SAS, but it would probably be too complicated for the advantages.

I have a few of those lying about. Might not work so well now, but they're on a page in this discussion which was made about 6 months ago.

Bingo. Generally, while stock rotating turrets are awesome for use in things like replicas and the like, they don't hold up well to the stresses and hazards of BDA and/or stock combat.

What I was thinking about was adding a turret part, coming in three sizes (Small for rifle caliber, medium for autocannons and large for large cannons) similar to the Jernas turret, on which you could attach some pre-made gun barrels, with preset caliber and fire rate. You could then build plates around the part to have a fully rotating custom turret. I've made the suggestion to the BD thread some time ago, but frankly it's probably too complicated to be implemented.

So a bit like From the Depths?

I'm rapidly approaching 4,000 subscribers so I'm keen to work on episode 25 but I still can't get past the tree issue. I'd really appreciate if anybody could search for a fix so I can get back to work.

Don't talk about the trees, and nobody will see the trees.

I'm just not happy with it. It may seem silly to delay the whole thing now because of a minor issue like this but that's not how I'll see it when I go back and watch it a year from now. I want each video to be the best it can possibly be regardless of how long it takes.

Try posting it on modded technical support. Someone probably knows more about it than us.

If I want to submit, do I have to find my post in this thread?  I know I posted something in here, but I forget exactly where it is...

For the current episode, yes. Hatbat is supposed to make a new thread solely for manufacturers after Ep.25 though, so you could wait if it's not atmospheric.

Ooh, now I remember. I had that bug too, but it was with landing gear and the runway lights. Something to do with EVE or SVE, for sure.

E.V.E. I've been getting it on lights, haven't been around enough trees to tell tho. :P

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
