Wonderful. Our moneys brains have a hard time comprehending all this, but I think SpaceEngine, Universe Sandbox, KSP (and sites like this) are all doing a wonderful job impressing the vastness of space on us. Especially the first of those expanded my view on things more than years of deliberate mental training did.

Cool, made it to Earth, going back to finish the rest of the trip.

Wow I made it. That does help to put things in perspective.

On a side note my wife says its confirmed...I'm nuts, also I need to dust my screen.

Holy #$$% batman. How do Protons ever collide? How do we not just fall through each other?

Protons in different atoms generally don't (barring extreme circumstances like nuclear fusion, alpha particles hitting nuclei, etc.) as I understand it.

Solid objects are solid because of electromagnetic interactions, not nucleus stuff.

Reality is a very empty place, both in outer space and inside atoms there is an overwhelming amount of nothing.

It's missing some stuff, especially the moons of Saturn :(
Welp only Titan would be bigger than 1 pixel (148% Moon's diameter), rest of the moons have diameter below Plutos (0.66 pixel) and would be invisible. So it's a partial "miss" by the creator :P

Yep. We have electrons, mainly, to thank. While they're unimaginably tiny, they're fast and energetic and really hard to pin down. You have to have a dying star at least ten times the mass of the Sun for gravity to overcome the electron clouds repelling one another, and crush the nuclei of the star's atoms together. That's what a neutron star is, really.

Agreed, I was surprised not to see Titan on there either. It's second in size only to Ganymede, so the omission stood out for me.

Great map. I did a crude measurement by holding a ruler up to the scale at the start.

I think the map is about 478.5 meters long, at least on my computer's screen.

I want to put this on a greeting card, Happy Birthday! :)
