Yes, the HypeTrain has been refit! She's now a artificially intelligent Gresley A3 instead of a Black Five. using some of the old parts though, so instead of giving her a new name, we programmed in some previous memories and called her Hype07A. Sorta Like the Star Ship Enterprise has multiple generations. And no, she hasn't a face. Some would think that's too creepy, and the animatronics would be too expensive.

Use this thread to ask me questions about the HypeTrain, such as how it works, and where it goes. This thread is general, and has to do with the Train Service for the KSP Community, but also of other branchlines.

Q: Are you the HypeTrain driver for every Hype Event?

A: No, but I pull every train for the KSP community, and often will pull trains that are assigned to me even when I have nothing to do with their community.

Q: Even Justin Bieber Concerts?

A: Yes, and those thirteen-year-old girls are terrifying.

Q: What type of engine is the HypeLocomotive and how does it work?

A: It's an LMS Stanier "Black Five" Engine, converted to run on HypePressure that is made from burning HypeCoal to heat HypeLiquid into HypeSteam. This drives the HypePistons which turn the HypeWheels. It's current number is Hype 07.

Q: Have there been other HypeTrains?

A: Yes, the one before Hype 07 were powered by InternalHype engines, converted diesels. Hype 06 was a relatively good loco, but it just wasn't as good a HypeMachine. Hype 05 is the same engine as Hype 07.

Q: Why is Hype 05 and Hype 07 the same engine?

A: A terrorist passenger blew up the HypeEngine 06 during it's run to the Station of KSP 0.24. Jetwave was the man's name, and he had Creepers blow it up before Steve could save it. While the train was still moving at high speed, I discarded Hype 06, and the backup engine that was coupled to the back of the HypeTrain was moved to the front was the HypeSteam-Powered Hype 05. I coupled her to the train while it was still moving, and managed to bring her up to Mach 1.5.

When the trip was over, I brought her to the works for a repaint. She had been painted Chrome during the 70s, and that would never do, so she was repainted into classic black color. We decided to work with HypeSteam from now on.

Q: What about other Hype-Powered Vehicles?

A: Hype Powered Vehicle types and their disadvantages:

1. HypeBus: Can't go as fast or carry as many people.

2. HypeBoat: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow.

3. HypeAmericanTrain: The cowcatcher adds too much weight.

4: HypePlane: The physics are hard to explain, but Hype-Powered Flight is nearly impossible, and could never carry enough people anyway.

5: HypeHorse: Genetic engineering has yet to produce an animal that feeds only off of Hype.

Q: But Porkjet made a HypePlane!

A: No, you can clearly see non-hyped Rapier engines. The plane is merely shaped like the word Hype. Plus, that was in KSP, this is REAL!*

A: Better. I can do Quadruple Track Drifting!

Q: Considering HypeSteam can be pressurized enough to get a train up to Mach 1.5, how does Hype 07 handle the sheer amount of pressure without exploding?

A: The boiler is made of Hypehardandstrongium-steel alloy

Q: Have you considered using Hypesplosions to power the HypeTrain?

A: The previous engineer investigated hypesplosions to power HypeTrains, and came to the conclusion that not having limbs is a bad idea. His successor then enhanced the idea and created the first HypedieselEngine. Hype06 was a diesel, but it just didn't perform as well as the HypeSteamEngines.

Q: What about the HypeMuseum/What about other HypeRail services?

A: Other HypeRail services are run to different mediums like film, music, and celebrities are run by the following companies respectivly

HMS

The Hype, Midland, and Supercool [Railway] services video game fandoms.

HNER

The Hype North-Eastern Railway services Film and Movie fandoms.

HWR

The Hype Western Railway services Technology geeks. (Specifically, the type of people who camp outside a store to get the latest smartphone)

HR

Hype Railways services Television fandoms such as Doctor Who or The Walking Dead.

HypeMuseum

The HypeMuseum is curated by Megatiger, and is full of historical pieces of machinery from the history of all HypeServices. This includes HypePlanes and ancient HypeTrains.

Q: Have you considered using a HypeCycle (A Hype-powered motorcycle.)

A: You'd need to be pretty damn hyped up to power an Internal Hybecombustion Engine with only one soul. It'd be hard to get enough power out of Hypedrocarbon Liquid Fuels to power a motor with only one person. But if there' something super mega ultra exciting, you could probably run a Hypecycle up to, say, 25 miles per hour.

Has any research been done into Tokamak or laser-ignition HypeReactors? To my understanding, Hype can get pretty hot, and when properly concentrated and magnetically/inertially confined, it seems it would be possible to attain the temperature and power output required to run a thermal turbojet, opening the door to Hype-powered flight. Should that prove possible, one might then try an arrangement to pump HypeLiquid through such a reactor to achieve exemplary exhaust velocities and substantial thrust, resulting in an efficient and powerful HypeThermal Rocket capable of operating for sustained periods in a vacuum.

This would no doubt require a great deal of research and development in coming decades, but seems to fall within theoretical possibilities, if I've made accurate assumptions about the nature of Hype.

Is there a way a HypeTrain Mod coudl be made for Train Simulator 2014? That way there could be a HypeTrain stream before each KSP update. Also, considering HypeSteam can be pressurized enough to get a train up to Mach 1.5, how does Hype 07 handle the sheer amount of pressure without exploding?

You've got it. Now get out if you're slow, your lack of hype could damage the HypeTrain.
