Get Inspired

So I have given some thought to Zeke's comment 'Get Inspired' and have decided to do a competition in which you the wonderful imaginative audience create vehicles, and enter them into a competition where they will be put to the test against various categories.

How to participate:

1- Build a vehicle, i recommend using suspension, it might help you out.

2- Record a video or a series of screenshots of the craft like I do in my videos advertising the vehicle you have created.

3- Submit the craft to the new forum thread that can be found here, giving information such as cost, part count, top speed, etc

4- I will then come up with a series of events which you will take part in by recording them and submitting them on your ORIGINAL POST.

Challenges:

1st Challenge: Land your car on minmus

2nd Challenge: Post your top speed, a jump and a nice screenshot

3rd Challenge: Produce a bill board style advert of your car, it must have;-Your car in it

-The name of your car

-The cost

-Anything that makes it special (EG- My ATORV had 'ready for nature' as its slogon)

4th Challenge: the final challenge is to produce a short clip that shows your car, falling from a great height, this will be an advert, and so requires:

-The product

-Cost

-Features

-Your name at the end, and possibly your profile picture

-Inspirational music

-Epic camera shots, Kerbcam might help

Here is an example, not from KSP, but i want you to make something similar, and of course put a spin on it.

Upload the finished video to mediafire or what ever downloading thing, so that I can download it and watch it. Although if you do have a youtube channel, post it on there for simplicity, good luck.

I'm all for competition Vagani but wouldn't you be a better 'sport' by hosting a competition that doesn't involve everyone using your chassis?

Why not let people make their own cars and enter them.

That will result in more variety among the entries and make for a more interesting competition.

Here is my entry: The Sand Dune

It is a small rover but is quite capable of off and on road driving with its decoupler suspension.

It has a top speed of 21.4m/s, weighs 7.82T and has 128 parts.

Do you need the craft file? Also can you tell us what kind of challenges we can expect?

You can expect speed, durability stuff like that, keep the craft file as it will be released in a pack, also I dont have a working pc atm so I'll take a peek when ive decided the winner

Ermmm, If you can modify it and say its a different vehicle as I would like to see peoples independent building ability with the rules set so yes

Going suborbital counts as a jump I guess.

I decided to make a new vehicle, which is somehow based off of the Alfa Romeo 156.

The suspension though, i tried to make something that i thought would work, but really didn't.

Also, i think the deadline of 17.08.14 is a typo.

I did originally intend to put TWO of my entry on Minmus, but a part count of 300 and something on my lander wasn't something i really wanted.

My goodness! Both of the cars that have been posted are so... big. I like small cars.

Here's the progress I've made... I'm almost done. This little guy is kinda cute, and more importantly, it has enough ElectricCharge to electrocute a cow.

The only problem is, it lacks a name. (The current name is "Car." That's not gonna work.)

Can someone please identify the closest type of real-life car to this guy, so I can name it properly? That would be much appreciated.

on a side-note, it looks a bit like a Mitsubishi I-Miev/Peugeot Ion/Citroen C-Zero, which are electric cars. Though the headlights are a bit higher on those.

I also seriously feel my first place(atleast before this came along) is being seriously threatened.

With all due seriousness, though, I think that when you get much smaller than the vehicle I made, it doesn't look like a recognizable car anymore. With all due respect, your small vehicle could be considered a moped, though it looks a little like a train.

I personally see my car as being like a VW Beetle, though I see where Vagani is coming from when he says that it's more like a Smart Car. At any rate, I may be coming up with a new name for the little guy... stay tuned for a video showcasing the little car's features!

Modeled after the world's fastest street car, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport features a stunningly accurate, high detail, interior and exterior. A modified wheel configuration allows for moderate suspension and high acceleration for its weight. However, its high part count and complex structure means that it is not stable if you should be in a crash. To compensate for a low body, both bumpers have metal plates to shield the more fragile body from the ground when coming off a poor transition from a steep incline. The car handles wonderfully, and can handle even 90 degree turns at high speeds.

I feel like submitting my main craft, and then submitting a "joke" craft just for kicks . Is this fine? If I actually win I think I'll hand off the prize of being included in the next pack. Mine won't match the list I don't think .
