Active Texture Management is your friend :)

Don't need it, runs perfectly fine, and it doesn't even use 1/3 of my 16GB of RAM...

Oh yeah i mean on 32 bit games

Oh, for 32-bit, once you start getting close to 3GB of RAM, you're approaching crashtown. Can't go by the folder size for this because some small mods use more RAM than its filesize...

Running at 2 gigs on 32bit, but recently switched to 64bit since I stopped playing career mode.

Edit: Sorry was on my phone, I should explain it better. It's currently around 2 gigs, but goes as high as 2.7 because I add things. In 32bit w/ ATM, it ran pretty flawlessly. I feel like career mode related mods don't like 64bit from my experience, or the other way around, so after getting back into sandbox mode, I realized I should just try 64bit again, and it's working good, and I removed ATM. I forgot I had texture resolution set to half though, and I put it back on full and this caused 64bit to crash as soon as I went to launch a rocket. I feel like even though 64bit allows more ram to be used, going over about 4 gigs will still cause the game to crash, so it's really not many benefits to it at the moment, for me atleast. I do feel like I get better performance in general from 64bit, but then again, it could be placebo.

You said "Can't go by the folder size for this because some small mods use more RAM than its filesize..." which is the *opposite* of what I was talking about: KSP *compresses* textures on load, so in a few small cases textures will take more RAM than disk space (solid-color PNGs) but in most cases, textures in RAM will take much *less* space (512KB in RAM, 3MB on disk for a 1024x1024 MBM or TGA texture).
