Controls for Mods not present

Hello.

New to KSP and Mods. I have version .24.

I've installed MechJeb, Kerbal Engineer Redux v0.6 and Enhanced NavBall v1.3.

In all cases there are no buttons on screen to select, modify or otherwise interact with these options. The vehicle modules for MechJeb and KER are available and I've attached them to the vessels.

For MehcJeb and KER I've dropped the folders into the Gamedata folder. Enhanced NavBall is in the KSP_win folder.

I've searched the forums but can't figure this out.

It's the same for every mod:

GameData -> MechJeb2 ->-- Icon -> *lots of pictures*

Parts -> MJ Pod and AR202 folders

Plugins -> PluginData folder + MechJeb2.dll

GameData -> EnhancedNavBall ->- Plugins -> PluginData folder + EnhancedNavBall.dll

Resources-> navball24/34 pics

GameData -> Engineer -> 3 part folders, pictures, .dll files, version file

If it doesn't look like this then you did something wrong.

Why on earth would you put anything directly into the KSP_win folder?

Make sure you don't have paths that looklike KSP_Win/GameData/MechJeb/GameData/MechJeb2, etc. Look into the folder of the mod you are about to install and see if there is a readme on how to install the mod before trying to drop mods around.

I checked all downloads, it's almost impossible to confuse it.

You unzip the archives, then for all of these three mods you simply drop the respectively second folder into KSP -> GameData

The first folder being the one of the zip archive with the version numbers (do not copy those!).

It's the same with all of these three mods.

Okay folks. I know I'm irritating a few of you but please be patient. I'm just trying to get the hang of this.

I removed and re-installed KSP. On this fresh install unzipped and drop the Kerbal Engineer and Blizzy toolbar mods in the Gamedata folder and it worked just fine. Hurray.

The next day I did the same with Enhanced NavBall and i got... nothing. No button, nothing in the Blizzy toolbar so once again I'm stumped.

And how do make a copy of the log to post here?

screenshot from the furthest inside the navball folder as you can go. I want to see the file paths. It sounds like a path issue.

Even better would be ascreenshot of a fully exploded view of the explorer bar on the left from within your gamedata folder.

Something like this;

Unless you don't have the .24 compatible version of the mod.
