Cratery Coast is having a tough winter up north and asks the Flaron empire for help. There are 19 Kerbals at the base, a emergency orbit vessel, and a small aircraft. None can be contacted. It got buried because of a new phenomenon called a "Wind Tsunami" a giant super low altitude jet stream that can wreak havoc on Laythe. Every bomb is aimed at a patch on the Mun just 1km^2 and causes an explosion that amazed every pilot in the Trafalgar fleet while also revealing that the Mun has a mantle of liquid rock. Cratery Coast's bases are just south of the edge of the explosion safe zone, and they launch their escape pods, but there are multiple Kerbals left behind. Other bases evacuate, and many nations decide that they need to drop cooling stuff to cool down the mantle to form more crust. The CC Kerbals send distress signals.
