How would I increase the top of the atmosphere?

Recommended Posts

I want to raise the atmospheric cutoff altitude around planets so that the air actually thins out to almost nothing before dropping to vacuum. I want Kerbin atmosphere to go all the way out almost to 100km, without changing the atmosphere density at any existing point. So I'm not trying to change the pressure at sea level, and not trying to change the scale height. Just the point at which it cuts to vacuum.

Anyone know how I can do this?

edit:

At 70km, Kerbin atmosphere would be 84,250 nanopascals. At 100km, it would be about 0.2088 nanopascals. My guess is that it cuts off at exactly 100 micropascals, and I'd prefer it cut off at a nanopascal.

edit 2:

After some calculations, I realize it cuts off at 101.326 millipascals, exactly 1/1,000,000th of sea level pressure. I want it to cut off at 1/100,000,000th of sea level pressure.

There is no way to change that. Hardcoded means, "you can't change that." Your only solution is to somehow edit the game's dlls to make it not hardcoded or hardcoded to a different value, but then you run into sections of modding that may or may not be banned by the rules, depending on how you do it.
