Thomas988
YES! FinallyNp! Sorry about the wait, I've just been really "out of it" lately. Luckily I seem to be getting the planet-making spirit reinvigorated in me.
Ohans1
ODYSSEUS DOES NOT WORK WITH KOPERNICUSTECH!All the terrestrial bodies added by Odysseus are gonna turn into their templates when you get close enough.Yes. It appears that it does have a retro orbit.I just confirmed this last night when I sent a craft out to the moons in Odysseus. The orbital textures showed up from orbit, but the actual terrain is the template bodies. So Penelope was laythe, and Aeolus became duna. However Polyphemus did show up correctly. Is this what is mean't by kopernicustech. If I understand correctly, kopernicustech is what outer planets mod is based on, and the odysseus planet pack is based on a different engine. If so is there any way to combine the two planet packs correctly. Also I was able to make odysseus orbit in the same direction as the other planets by changing the inclination value to one similar to that of the other planets. amarius1
Well, the reason Odyseus pack doesnt have custom surfaces is because Kopernicus alone can't handle that. We now use KopernicusTech to load custom hightmaps and textures as Kopernocus in the primary tool to put the planet into the game to be modifyed later with Kittopia. Odysseus currently does not support KT.

Larrt_M
Oh, nice! I am loving that rover design there. Thanks! That's the largest version of that rover. It seats two Kerbals. I have a smaller one Kerbal version that works real well too. The next mother ship that I launch will have two of those smaller rovers on it and two landers so you will see them in some pics soon.I landed pretty hard on Penelope with this big version blowing two tires out. I should have waited until I was about to touch down before dumping the engines. Good thing the tires can be fixed!Eumaeus, another good planet!http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus1.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus2.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus3.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus4.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus5.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus6.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Eumaeus7.pngSo far I have had no problems at all with this planet pack. I'm really liking it! The funny thing is the original mother ship I modified for myself was the Odyssey II. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/entries/3225-Odyssey-a-true-explorerI made a few versions, one with four landers and two more with two rovers each(one with small rovers the other with the larger ones)plus the two landers. I also replaced the boosters, I couldn't control the ones that came with it. Added parachutes to the landers also. You can put a rover down then next pass put a two Kerbal lander down to pick up the pilot in the rover. Works out fine if you don't crash the rover getting to the lander. Edited April 16, 2015 by Larrt_M
Larrt_M
Aeolus, a great planet, I really like it! I tried out my new lander cans on it. I added a couple of these to one of the mother ships. Big engine and a lot of fuel for making the round trip on planets with a higher gravity and or atmosphere. A great view of the gas giants too!http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus1.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus2.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus3.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus4.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus5.pnghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad343/Larry_M/Aeolus6.pngI will be away for the weekend, exploring will continue next week. Thomas988
Kopernicus is stable by any means, it doesn't matters if you use Templates or not. However, I'd recommend to wait until Kopernicus 0.0.7 is released. Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll just wait until finals are over and I'll look into an update. Guest
Don't worry, Kopernicus is very low-memory-usage.Is it a lot better than PF:CE?
Thomas988
Is it a lot better than PF:CE?PF:CE doesn't even work anymore. Kopernicus does, and it has many, many, many options.
