What are your fears

Generally, un-safe feeling heights. You see, in an airplane, I know airplane is very good and very safe so when I look down I feel safe.

When I'm standing on the calgary tower looking through a little bit of glass, it dosen't really look that safe (even though it is)

Thus why many of my scary dreams involves climbing up spiral stairs with no handles, tripping, and falling. Falling in a dream is *shudder*

Oh yes, and bees and wasps.

This is one of the biggest: Ophiocordyceps Unilateralis.

A Fungus that can attach itself to dead ants, the fungus takes over the ants brain and forces the ant to it's will. So... it's a mind control fungus basically.

ZOMBIE ANTS!

I know fears often have little to do with logic, but that people would fear one of the more useful creatures around is still a bit hard to fathom.

Well, i'm sure it won't be hard to fathom if we pour a bucket filled with daddy longlegs on you. :D

Get him, boys!

For some reason, I always feel pretty uncomfortable around tall, skinny objects - especially if they stand all by themselves or look generally out of place. Mostly applies to radio masts.

I have the exact same feeling! When I stand close to them and look at the top, it feels like they are gonna fall on me.

I also fear windows warning messages accompanied with the warning noise. I can't explain it but it makes me un easy like the monitor is going to explode in my face...

I can be scared by almost anything. If I do not expect it and it is in my peripheral vision within glasses (or outside of glasses or where I cannot see it) then I jump (and people know it, tapping me on the back while I am reading a book). My number one fear is probably never getting to be myself (ok only time I was, was when I was a baby).

In all seriousness, my greatest fear is probably having my mind altered (drugs, sci-fi mind control, anything that causes me to lose control of me). The idea of my brain, me, being adjusted by some outside force terrifies me. For the same reason, I have nightmares every time somebody is killed by a head injury in a movie. A shot to the chest kills your heart. A shot to the head kills the thing that contains you.

No, your brain contains memory and allows you to control your body (usually) your consciousness is not contained in the brain.

Shadow people.

I know they're not real, but I'll be damned if I haven't had some trouble falling asleep some nights because of this.

Watch the documentary on it.

That's ......... Of course it's in the brain. It's the result of total central nervous system performance. It can be detected, modified, turned off and on using chemicals, scalpels, lasers, electrical and very powerful dynamic magnetic field.

There's literally no evidence for your statement, yet tons of evidence against it.

Heights. Put me next to a cliff-edge and you'll see me freak out. This applies to heights as small as subway platforms.

EDIT: As an aside, the sheer irony of Labhouse' comments when put next to his name is not lost on me.
