Has anyone explored KSC on foot?

Recommended Posts

Plenty of people have. More I think will have taken a drive round, since the Space Centre isn't small and Kerbals aren't quick walkers. There are assorted stairs and ladders to climb, and a few points of special interest around.

There are also a few neat things to find once the buildings have been destroyed.

I have not walked around the KSC itself too much, although I did once walk to the other coast of the KSC continent. Corbus Kerman ran for several days almost without stopping, but the views from the central mountains were pretty neat.

I had the coolest idea for people who use KAS. And by coolest I mean everyone probably already tried it.

1) Grab a radial chute

2) climb on top of the VAB or anything high enough and climbable

3) BASEJUMP

I like to fly around it in small maneuverable planes/gliders, it's good fun to swoop around. Also it's an ideal testing ground for rovers/buggies, since there's plenty of sharp turns and different slopes. I also just take some kerbals for a joyride around the place for fun and to look around, they put quite a lot of detail into the place, if you really take the time to look around.

Jeb tried doing that from one of the Mun arches.

...it did not end well.
