1. I didn't know this was a thing! I don't normally use IR but will explore whether it works well for me in my newer savegames. For my older savegame, I'll need to figure something out, unless there's an IR core release that doesn't have parts, for providing back-end support, similar to what Firespitter did. The older savegame is struggling RAM-wise as is, so I need to be careful about how much extra stuff to add. Thanks, @Stone Blue and @MeCripp!
2. So there are mod packs for building specific ships--such as the Discovery II and the Hermes from The Martian--which include rotating hubs for artificial gravity in habitats. And there are mod packs, like Porkjet's Habitat Pack, which have rotating habitats. But I haven't seen a standalone mod pack that is just rotating hubs, so you could build your own habitats and attach to the hub. Is this something someone might be willing to make, or split off from an existing mod...?
3. @Cupcake...--your turn in the spotlight!
4. Could we stop cannibalizing each other here, please?
5. If you haven't seen the other Kneivel Kerman videos--here's your chance!
6. I'm going to make a Very Controversial Comment now. ...This new forum software is actually growing on me. In fact, I'm now inclined to agree: The change to IPS was in fact an upgrade. (Don't hit me.)
7. I like it and I added it to the playlist.
8. Sounds similar to Free IVA, but with parts: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/118371-wip-free-iva-formerly-enhanced-iva-alpha-v003-2015-10-11/ I'm very interested in seeing where you take this mod!
9. I want the game to be "realistic" enough that you can use the ideal rocket equation, calculate meaningful TWR, design with realistic expectations about drag, dynamic pressure, etc. etc. I'd also like to see clouds in stock. Damn it. Beyond that--I'm not much for realism in KSP. The historical space race was an anomaly of WWII and the Cold War that followed. But I'd rather fantasize about a species that doesn't need war to justify space exploration. (It's also why I tend to frown on weapons mods and jokes about killing Kerbals needlessly. I KNOW I'M NO FUN AT ALL. )
10. Thanks for the advice and encouragement! I did experiment with some time warp mods but wasn't quite satisfied with them. Maybe I'll try them again at some point. It would be nice to have smoother-looking video....
11. Yeah, the explosions kinda ruin the video for Mellow Space Program purposes--but I do like the video a lot. It's the only video about a game that I've ever seen, that makes me cry every time I see it. Why did you have to make me cry right now? You big meanie.
12. Try pasting the long-form YouTube link on a single line, and hit Return afterward. Like this: (It annoyed me that there wasn't a clear instruction on this, too.) Also, welcome back, and great vid! I know I said as much on YouTube already but, hey.
13. "When I die, I shall soar with angels, and when I die to the angels, what I shall become you cannot imagine." -- Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī This was inspired by Jatwaa's recent livestream, in which he built a glider powered with BD Armory guns. To each their own; I decided it was more Kerbal to use a SRB to launch the glider. It certainly is more soothing to the spirit, once the SRB stops belching flame. 14. Searches no longer let you narrow by forum. I used to be able to search for recent posts in the Add-Ons forums where the title contained "1.0"--so I could better monitor which mods were updated. No longer is that an option.

On a brighter note, you can now sort forums by thread start date. Maybe I won't need the option as much....

15. The latest addition to the Mellow Space Program playlist is all about gliders, and not at all about explosions. (I have an outtakes video for those.)
16. Thanks. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, then--because I entered the YouTube link, and hit Enter to create a newline, but the post still shows a link rather than an embed. Update: I just reposted the comment with the link and the embed worked properly that time. I'll presume there was a temporary glitch. Thanks again!
17. I like the look of the new forum software, and its new messaging system. I don't like what it did to YouTube embeds, signatures, and pre-existing forum links.

18. I apologize if this was already answered--but I don't see any option for embedding YouTube videos. Will we cinematics makers now have to settle for links to the video?
19. (Ignore please--I had to repost the comment below to get embeds to work.)
20.
Just following up on my post. I upgraded to 0.2.10--no change. And I just realized that my base does have an antenna directly attached to the planetary lab. But transmitting science from there is still not possible. I didn't see any noteworthy issues in output_log.txt, aside from "WheelCollier requires an attached Rigidbody to function" arising because I used the old combo wheels/legs. I can post the whole file if deemed necessary.
My problem is apparently with ScienceAlert. Sorry for the false alarm.
21.
Hmm that is weird. I will try that out later today and see if i encounter the same problem. I will let you know if i need your save file to confirm the errors. What other mods do you have installed?
Oh dear. That's a bit of a laundry list. :D I'll have to share a fuller list later, but it's mostly visual enhancements (EVE, Scatterer, etc.) and science mods (DMagic in particular) and rocket parts (SXT, SpaceY). That said.... - - - Updated - - -
Do you use RemoteTech? There are known issues with transmitting science with the current RemoteTech 1.6.9 on KSP 1.0.5.
I do not, and am not rushing to install it. In fact I'm kinda dreading the antenna range limits in KSP 1.1.
22.
Does anyone else have problems with the Planetary Lab not being able to transmit science in KSP 1.0.5? I updated to KPBS 0.2.9 last night but the problem persists. It's worth noting that the base itself doesn't have antennae, but are connected to a comms tower with KAS connectors, so this may be a KAS issue rather than a KPBS issue.
Just following up on my post. 24. Here's my latest contribution to the Mellow Space Program. Even though it isn't really about space.
25. Cuzican Aerospace, in conjunction with The Jacques Kermeau Society for Extreme Sea Exploration, present: Whales Ahoy! After playing with Kerbal Space Program 1.0.5 earlier and experimenting with the buoyancy, I kept saying, "I really should have built a rocket whale." So I did.
