  1. I had this bug recently. It happened when I installed FAR on the KSP x64 workaround. I know FAR won't really work in 64 bit but I tried it anyway. I just deinstalled after I notice it didn't work. I'll delete ModuleManager and all its' configs and reinstall it tonight. I'll let you know. The other thing I haven't tried is installing RealChutes to counter the problem.
  2. If your not aversed to modding, you could trying to install Kerbal Joint Reinforcement: Slowly dials up external forces (gravity, centrifugal, coriolis) when on the surface of a planet, reducing the initial stress during loading. All parts and joints are strengthened heavily during physics loading (coming off of rails) to prevent Kraken attacks on ships I've got this mod and my planes still drop onto the runway from a height of about one meter. They don't break, though.
  3. I stopped counting after I crashed my first huge Munar rover, killing 14 kerbals in one go. Of course, that was back in 0.23. Many more deaths have occured since then but they never stuck with me as that first big disaster did. Poor Kerbals. I'd say it's in the triple digits somewhere, nowadays.
  4. You know how dangerous that can be, right? But it's an idea with merit. Small things like that make a universe seem dynamic and alive.
  5. Depends on what you would like to accomplish, but I always tend to go with better electric charge generation and more science instruments.
  6. Awesome! Never knew where these things came from. I like my pretty baubles.
  7. One ticket please I'll be in the restaurant carriage getting hapilly ratted. The inevitable crash won't hurt as much.... Cheers!
  8. It has been done before: But this eats memory and frame rate like nobody's business.
  9. I usually just... (•_•) ( •_•)>âŒÂâ– -â– (âŒÂâ– _â– ) wing it.
  10. Or there's the unconsidered third option: 1.1 vastly improves memory management and this makes adding the second gas giant feasible. One of its moons could orbit retrograde... We can but hope
  11. Fair enough, and one of these seem like a likely candidate. Or Gilly. It would be awesome.
  12. Only for the EPIC launches Too bad it's so short... Or, you know,...
  13. Minor planets with orbital inclinations greater than 90° orbit in a retrograde direction. As of July 2015 there are 64 known retrograde minor planets. And Triton... (granted, not a comet nor asteroid) -------- It would also be cool to have one planet spin clockwise in stead of the boring counter-clockwise fashion (eg. Venus). Ooohhh, and Trojan asteroids.
  14. Memory limit in Windows. We'll see if we have "64 reasons to be excited" after the 1.1 release (cue dated meme)
  15. "Well, this could have gone better..."
  16. Playing 1.0.4 with Realism Overhaul and Real Solar System installed for the first time. .........it's so hard!.......
  17. I found this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/2bfrbg/the_missing_manual/ -edit- Never mind. Link's broken. -edit 2- Still had it on my Google Drive. Here you go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8JouMGYES-hWTFUMEtWUWIyWmc/view?usp=sharing Its a bit dated (0.24.2) but the main concepts are unchanged.
  18. Anyway, take it easy, Pecan.
  19. Well, this is an interesting discussion but ultimately it is moot. It's based on rumour, hearsay and hope. All I know for sure is that €25.00 bought me hours and hours of fun and great gameplay. It is still the game I play the most, even after 3 years. I advocate patience, as always. It is much easier to complain using specific arguments than unfounded whining. Which doens't imply people should refrain from airing their views in a civilized and constructive manner. We are all greatly in love with this product, or we wouldn't be here. But I'm pretty sure Squad still is, too. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother with an engine upgrade after release, which is no mean feat. They could have taken the DF-9 route, after all...
  20. I'm on the fence about it. I prefer content to format any day of the week. I felt that there was way less information in the new kind of devnote than before. It could just be a slow week, however. That said, I totally understand the devs' would like to spend more time working and less time talking about it. It all depends on how long it actually takes to write 10 lines about what you are doing... And here's a tip from the late Sir Terry Pratchett: “Why are you always in such a hurry, Mr. Lipwig?†“Because people don’t like change. But make the change happen fast enough and you go from one type of normal to another.†― Terry Pratchett, Making Money
  21. 147 Thousands die in the great "Snack Poisoning Incident" after the production engineer at Sean's Cannery mixes up the production lines of snacks and rocket fuel. Rocket fuel perfected two weeks later.
  22. Consider my curiosity piqued. Release the tableau forthwith, good man!
