So...I seemed to have found another solar system!
I decided to go through the entire data set of a star where I observe at least 1 planet transit. The first star to get this treatment was called KIC 7586580, a small K-Type star just 66.1% the size of Sol. There appear to be an upper limit of 5 planets with years of 19, 47, 74.5, 202.5, and 720.5 days. But keep in mind that this is just one model. There are many issues that make all 5 planets pretty controversial. Since the star is highly variable, and since all the planets are close in size, its possible that two planets might be one. The only two planets I feel kinda confident about are Planet 4 and Planet 5. Planet 4 had wider transits (maybe because of rings), while Planet 5 was the largest of the bunch.
I recommend that you try to check out the data of KIC 7586580. It's known on Planet Hunters as APH00014z9. Most transits should be somewhat easy to spot.

I'm thinking of making a planet pack that adds in some of Kepler's weirdest and most unique multi-planet systems, such as Kepler-454, Kepler-87, and Kepler-186. Opinions?

400 rep! Thanks, @Vanamonde!

I just saw a set of red lights in a triangle formation near a freak lightning storm. This is probably my coolest UFO sightings ever, especially since I have an amazing picture of it!

I recently did some math about Indra (KIC 7848638 f) and found out that it is likely to have a candidate exomoon! More information here.

I don't think it could form from a collision with the gas giant, but maybe it formed when two large moons collided with each other. Also, maybe it could be like Ganymede/Europa/Enceladus/Mimas in that it has liquid water oceans underneath it's crust. It might be like Europa/Enceladus because it might have an icy surface, but maybe like Ganymede/Mimas because it's surface also might be rocky.

I have some updates on my new planet KIC 7848638 b. I named it Chantico, after the Aztec god of fire, and its star Koyash. Chantico's size has been pinned down to 1.17 Earth radii with an error of about 574 kilometers (0.09 Earth radii). I've also spotted at least two potential extra planets in the Koyash system.

Another planet! This one is, for now, called KIC 7848638 c. I was able to spot its small transit in multiple sets of data from the same star. It has about 0.656 times the radius of Earth (with errors of plus 0.068 ER and minus 0.113 ER), and an orbital period of about 15.5 days. It was very hard to find its signal in the light curve of Koyash.
I was also able to pick out the transits of Chantico in other data sets, too, making this less likely to be a false positive.

I just found THREE MORE planet candidates in the Koyash system. Koyash d has 0.9 times Earth's radius and orbits every 37 days. Koyash e may be potentially habitable, with a year of 201 days and 1.63 times Earth's radius. Koyash f, on the other hand, could be a frost line gas dwarf. It has a radius of 2.08 Earths and a year of 442 days.
As of right now, the most dubious planet is Koyash f, due to how I only found 3 transits of it.

I think I found something in Planet Hunters...
In the light curve of APH00015me (KIC 7848638), there is a potential transit every 12.2 days. Even with the large amounts of noise, every transit dims the stars light by about 0.108%. The star is a K-Dwarf with 83% the size of our sun, so this planet could be anywhere between 1.2 and 0.95 times the size of Earth. This guy may be a terrestrial planet! I've also estimated the host star's mass (possibly 0.82 solar masses), and I was able to calculate the planet's semi-major axis to be about 0.04741 AU. Art and name for this planet candidate coming soon!

I have my own YouTube channel now! Go check it out! It is "ProtoJeb 21." I have just one video now, though.
-
I glitched Jeb so bad in the atmosphere of my planet 99d that he stretched into an abomination over 100 kilometers wide. Pictures (and maybe a video) coming soon.
-
1: Drops a large vessel with inflated heat shield into the atmosphere of 99d.
2: Only the pod and heat shield survive initial entry.
3: Get the Kerbal out.
4: Kerbal gets stuck in heat shield and starts glitching.
5: The swaying vessel shoves Kerbal out into the atmosphere.
6: Poor Kerbal starts spazzing and expanding.
7: Kerbal becomes something like Danny's newest experiment.
8: The Kerbal gets to be something like 1,160 kilometers wide (diameter of 99d) and you can't see it anymore.
9: 99d turns into a black hole with a rainbow rim.
10: Kerbal hits event horizon FIVE KILOMETERS BELOW SEA LEVEL.
And that's how I glitched Jeb Kraken-style in 10 easy steps!

I've finally returned to Interstellar Adventure Revived, but I need help. The mod is becoming too big for me to test on my computer without at least one crash. I need someone to help test out the new updates and tweaks for IA-Revived before I release them to the public.

I'm starting my burn for Duna with the Perseus 1 mothership and the Perseus Lander. Four kerbals are going to Duna and back. This is my first time doing this type of mission. This, along with other missions, will be posted up on the Solar System SCIENCE thread within the next few days. Wish me and the Original Four luck!

To anyone who was originally following me before the Great Follower Purge:
Can you please follow me again?

300 rep! (Thanks, @Spaceception!) I "only" have 700 rep to go....

I just made my first thread in Mission Reports: Solar System SCIENCE!!! It's about the missions and other stuff in my science mode save with the same name.
-
I'm going to be getting a YouTube channel very soon! Probably within the next few days. My channel is going to be the same name that I have on the forums (but with a different password to keep out hackers [*cough* Poodlecorp *cough*] for a long time). The first video will be me creating abominations of nature by throwing pulsars at planets in Universe Sandbox 2.

If anyone's wondering why I haven't been updating my mods or doing much on the forums, it's because I'm on vacation and can only access the forums with my phone. Too bad KSP doesn't have a mobile version
Anyways, I'll be returning home within 24 hours, and I will quickly update my mods. I will also be doing more IRVEES observations these next few weeks. Next target: GJ 1214 b.

Sorry guys, but I won't be able to view IDR-1 tonight. I realized just tonight that my telescope's tracking system needs a planetload of AA-batteries. Since I don't have the right amount and type of batteries, my viewing has been postponed to Saturday night. Someone, avenge me!!!

Kepler has 1,284 new planets! And about 10 of them may be Earth-like! And over half of them are smaller than Neptune! WOOOHOOOO!
-
I've started a thread for a new program/group: IRVEES. This is an exoplanet hunting group that will use transits, radial velocity, and direct imaging to find planets. For now, any members (including me) are going to try and find transiting planets in a patch of sky near the star HD 89744, in Ursa Major.

100 reputation! Thanks to @CliftonM for the 100th like!

I'm baaaack!!!! After 6 weeks of theory testing, I'm ready to return to Kopernicus! Version 0.4 of Interstellar Adventure Revived will be released tomorrow...most of the content was finished a month ago. I'll release the first version of KKCM, test Kerbol Starsystem, and make a new mod that includes a bunch of brown dwarfs!
