  1. Just updated REX to 1.7.3. In this latest update, you can also scale stellar distances to your liking through the settings file located in GameData/RealExoplanets/Settings.cfg.
  2. Thanks. Now, if you go into Logs/Kopernicus there should be a bunch of logs for individual planets and stars. Could you send me the logs for Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, Proxima Centauri, Teegarden's Star, Barnard's Star, Tau Ceti and TRAPPIST-1? Actually, just send me the log for Alpha Centauri I think the issues @Bonbo and @Sky! (Big nerd) are having are separate from each other. Sky seems to be having some sort of problem with actually downloading the file, while Bonbo doesn't seem to have that problem. In fact, I think I already know the problem Bonbo is having. I was having a similar problem to him when I was updating REX to 1.7.3, but not in 1.6.1, and I think it's because I was using an older version of Kopernicus when I was testing it in 1.6.1.
  3. I'm making it compatible with 1.7.3 as we speak. Only a few things needed to be changed to do that. I'll release an update probably today.
  4. You didn't put the REX-textures file into your gamedata folder
  5. That is a bug that only appears in the tracking station/map view. If you actually send something over there, the flares are not separated from the star. As for the moons being dim, keep in mind that the images you see of planets/moons, especially ones in the outer solar system, have been brightened so that features are more clear and so that the image is more appealing. I had to change the Sun's light intensity curve since by default the Sun's brightness extends infinitely.
  6. Just so I can figure out if you two are experiencing the same problem, can you post a screenshot of your gamedata folder so I can make sure that you installed everything correctly?   7. That is so strange because I've downloaded it on two different computers and on both it works totally fine. I have no idea why this is happening if I'm honest. I'm going to try something tomorrow.
  8. That's odd. It should be 1.2 GB. Are you sure you allowed it to download all the way through?
  9. Yes I know but if the size of his zip file was super low, that means that the file is corrupted and was downloaded incorrectly.
  10. Just released REX. Most likely, there are kinks and issues that need to worked out that went unnoticed, so be aware of that. Also yes it's for KSP 1.6.1 don't hate me
  11. That is something I plan on doing. There are some pretty close by brown dwarfs such as Luhman 16 which I plan to add. Also, I do technically have a working version of REX 0.9, but I want to have some time to test through absolutely everything to make sure that everything is functioning properly, as there are some pretty major changes to REX coming.
  12. The problem is that there are many practical and ethical issues with Orion drives that are non-issues in KSP which together make it much easier to use than in real life. I mean, that's basically the nature of KSP; it's easier than real life.
  13. Just a little progress update: I've completed all atmospheres and scatterer configs. All I need to do is make sure those scatterer atmospheres and EVE clouds are properly scaled when using the stock system. I'm also having a weird problem where TRAPPIST-1b doesn't scale properly like all of the other exoplanets, so I need to figure out what I need to do to fix that. At this point, I am hoping to release this major update before Thanksgiving, release a minor update in mid-December, and then release a somewhat major update around Christmastime/New Year's.

  17. Here's a random from the surface of Maol. Also, I will be updating Extrasolar again soon. Changes will include some minor tweaks here and there, as well as compatibility with AVP and Spectra
  18. Valentine's orbit did indeed change to reflect a slightly more realistic binary star orbit (most binary stars orbit each other rather elliptically). I'm assuming the reason why Valentine's periapsis is so close to the outer planets in JNSQ is because JNSQ is scaled up quite a bit but Extrasolar is not. However, I will create compatibility with JNSQ in the future.
