  1. @blackheart612 word, figured I'd pitch the thought. And the "standard" door works perfectly—the lip on the inside is perfect for Kerbals to climb over. On the ramp, maybe an extendable piece and the end, sorta like how the Mk3 cargo tail functions?
  2. The air ramp didn't quite reach the ground, so I had to improvise. Works well enough. Put Juno jet engines on the nacelle afts to simulate the exhaust thrust of the KP-12. 260m/s seems to be the aforementioned engines top speed, but that still puts me at 936km/h, which beats the Tu-114 by 66km/h (18m/s). I claim success!
  3. I remember ALG and RF—those were good mods, I miss ALG especially; 1.05 (or 1.0.5, whichever) was a good version for mod availability.
  4. You got a purdy jet, there. I wonder how ridiculous the Concorde nose and KP-12 would look together... Only one way to find out! Propeller-driven air speed record, here I come! (Actually, I think I've already beaten that, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Aside, can someone please explain to me why there are no aftermarket landing gear? Side-folding variations would be the perfect coup de grâce.
  5. @blackheart612 thanks, will report in! Of course, I won't redistribute it, but I love IVA flying, and to me, the Falcon cockpit is begging for a high-tech IVA to go with it. Buttons and screens galore!
  6. Ok, I'm sure I could understand and do all that, but someone would sorta have to walk me through it the first time (not asking you, per se). Aside, I remember reading that during World War II, it was joked that if the pilot of a P-47 ran into trouble, he could just unfasten himself and hide in the fuselage. In the Mk1/1's case, that's literally true!
  7. Can someone teach me how to install RasterPropMonitor MFDs and a HUD in the Mk2 Non-Commercial (ace naming convention, btw)?
  8. I know, I know, nothing but requests Can you do a streamlined variant of the navlights, sorta similar to these?
  9. @theonegalen I'd like an easily visible radar altimeter. I was trying to land on unmarked ground at night, and I had no good reference of altitude for flaring and cutting the throttle.
  10. Because I'll be flying with the corner of the camera about here, and that gives me almost everything I need. Also, hands down, the NK, sorry, KP-12 is the greatest engine in this mod
  11. F'sure—the only reason I bring it up is because I know that the AH-6 didn't have any advanced gunsights; pilots would set it up on a range, and mark the point of impact for the rockets and guns on the windscreen with grease pencils.
  12. I'm using it as an airplane cockpit, hence the wish for a vector indicator. I can wing it pretty well, but a reference is always nice to have.
  13. Since we're on the topic of this, here's what I'm thinking. Some sort of circle marking on the windscreen that looks like it was drawn on with a grease pen, so that you know where center-forward is when looking around. This is just a simple mockup, but the idea is that it would always stay in that position on the windshield texture. Even a crudely-drawn 'x' would fit the bill.
  14. There's a little circular button that shows up to the bottom-left of the crew portraits when you hover over them. Try clicking on that.
  15. @theonegalen B or C. But I use it as an airplane cockpit, not a helicopter cockpit (not much of a chopper pilot—probably would need an actual stick for that). Also, looks amazing. Just please make them legible when zoomed out. I tend to fly with a bit of wide-angle to substitute for peripheral vision, especially during maneuvers at speed.
  16. With these new wing parts, I can finally create ultra-high-aspect ratio wings that look good!
  17. Is there a way to restore the distance-to-waypoint indicator? It seems to have disappeared.
  18. Global Hawk is one of my favorite planes ever (an evolution of it is inevitable) and that drone nose bay is awesome--I've got a communications dish under the dome, as well as various instruments, just like the real thing. I also used your junior structural fuselage bays as payload doors, for a BTDT scanner and some undetermined hardware. I'm looking at about 9hrs endurance, which gives me at least a full circumnavigation.
  19. Well, then I'll keep on posting pics of various creations, whenever appropriate. Prop planes are so much more fun to build!
  20. Last plug, promise: Love the versatility of the turboprops, and the thrust reversing on demand. Great for STOL performance, and with a je ne sais quoi that jets don't have.
  21. I figure the forward part, up to the front of the first cockpit, is 1.25m circular, with the cockpit being the transition, of sorts. That way, you could use the same part for an A-20 Or even the core fuselage of a B-17
  22. I could't think of the term, but +1 to an oval 1.25m (like two 1.25m positioned so that the radii overlap, like a Venn diagram. Boom, P-61/A-20/A-26/B-24 fuselage.
  23. It's not anything in particular—I designed the airframe as a mid-war monoplane, but I couldn't get more than 40m/s with either the Vortex or Count, so I upped it to the Tornado. Also, there are two Cyclones now?
