  1. Hm....I've never been to Gilly...
  2. Things went very wrong, very quickly Hmm....yep, definitely needs struts... Jeb thinking he's definitely getting fired for this one. During an operation to drop armored cars from rockets, parachutes were disregarded because 'what's the ground gonna do, they're structural parts!' The second mission packed parachutes. Jeb's definitely getting fired for this one The very moment Bill was possessed by the void kraken, and seconds before the only lander in the area wiggled itself to bits
  3. It wasn't intentional, but all my new military craft have ended up with mohawks. I haven't yet come up with a definitive name for the big boat things. Anyone have any ideas? The small ones are probably going to end up being fishpunks, and the plane either airheads or something along the lines of airpunks.
  4. 我不是中国人,但借助谷歌翻译的力量,我可以尝试交流! 我喜欢这本书系列。 有水滴的场景可能是我读过的科幻小说中最强大的场景之一。
  5. heh heh heh sneaky sneak The profile picture, I mean. Ahem. Sorry. I'll be off...
  6. I made a prototype: (I've since moved the turrets forwards to avoid clipping explosions)
  7. I have no idea but if it's Tweakscaled it could be physics interactions that are messed or blown way up, such as air resistance and part-part rubbing. But that might not even be possible, I'm just saying the first thing that comes to mind. Anyways on my end I made a couple of planes yesterday, and today I gave them mohawks. Now they're airpunks: If you're wondering why they look a little bit like fish it's because the entire body sans the wings is actually a small boat that I looked at and thought 'hey this could fly.' So I put some wings on it and hey look it does actually fly. And pretty well too. Moderately long range and maneuverable, though admittedly a bit heavy and prone to flipping endlessly whenever the AI lays its grubby hands on the controls. Still gotta work on that...
  8. Oh yeah absolutely, I threw it together ages ago and never actually used it until now. I only built it to say I had made a carrier, and to take fleet screenshots. Engineering something practical will take more work. All my ships have that problem. But it's not really a problem. Once they get up to speed the engines get enough air and there's no loss of total thrust. Adding extra intakes is just extra parts, in my opinion. I partially agree with this in regards to the carrier, but they don't fit most of my boats. None of my water craft have reaction wheels or control surfaces, so they rely entirely on the swivel range of the panthers to maneuver. The most engines I ever have on ships is twelve, and between that and Goliath engines plus control surfaces and/or reaction wheels it ends up being more or less the same. They definitely have their use though, I just haven't made ships that are entirely compatible with them. Yet. I'm currently trying to come up with entirely new lines of ships and I'll definitely look to incorporate a Goliath or two in the designs
  9. I made some flying wings with semi long-ranges (45k Δv) The wheels in the picture are very close together but I've fixed them since (planes were too unstable on landing)
  10. I'm not seeing any pictures of carriers in that link....
  11. Hm, this one's tricky, but if you imagine me as a horror-movie cat mutant...
  12. I gave it a stab, took a few tries but when I did finally manage to stick a landing, the plane bounced off some ten seconds later. I definitely need a bigger boat, though at 112 parts the one in the video is at the limit of practicality. I could resort to Tweakscale (and have) but I think I'll just repurpose carriers for smaller drones instead... Will definitely try again. It was fun The action starts at around 3:33
  13. I don't think I have 126 of anything jeez My loading time is around 2-4 minutes on a 2 year old SSD and no major mods outside of BDA
  14. Alright listen, I didn't know what they were eh leave me alone EDIT: holy crap I just realized they're on backwards in that first thumbnail lol
  15. I found these monstrosities from my very first days of KSP:
  16. Ha! You can't fool me! That's obviously from a movie. No okay but seriously what mods are you running? Either way it's a beautifully put together craft. Lately I've been fiddling around with a 'boat.' It's 55 parts at the moment but I want to get it down to 50 and I'm not sure what to sacrifice. Made a video for it (the editing for the ending is very sloppy, be warned)
  17. I removed the Canadaball before having a new pic lined up so the cat's staying until I make up my mind.

Okay so I know it's been literally minutes but the cat is starting to grow on me...

  18. Ouch. It does seem like it has enough space for wheels, though... I remade some old planes to have a slightly meaner look and sharper wings:
  19. Is it possible to use the modular missile guidance unit to launch parasite craft? E.g. a small drone with a weapon manager and AI pilot, that becomes an independent entity after launch? I've been trying to get ships to launch support craft in this way but I haven't had much success. Just wondering if it's impossible in the first place or if I should keep trying. The main problem I have is that the drones seem to stay linked to the mother ship. I've tried getting the MMG unit to eject itself after launch but that doesn't seem to do anything.
  20. Hmm....any triangles to be seen? I would think triangles would be good.
