  1. It’s kinda like an over view of x country’s history. In the US we do the 2 civil wars and various imperial/manifest destiny shenanigans. WW1-2 are a separate class.
  2. Nah. I don't want to trust apple with my pc. Also have a strong dislike for iOS, whatever the current name is. At least with windows you have some ability to muck around and fix things. Plus 90% of my games dont run on it, so thats a big no. Also I dont have the time to muck around with linux and even fewer of my games will run on that. Kinda the Bing of OSs. Case in point. I feel ya man.
  3. Just arrived home and booted up my computer to find it was in an infinite reboot loop after a windows update. Long story short after an hour and a half of trying everything google could dredge up... Still nothing. So having gotten hungry I left to get a snack, when I got back the computer was no longer on a blue screen of death and was displaying my usual log in screen. This is after it failed a system restore and was still showing that error. In conclusion, if your windows OS ever kills itself during an update, go eat an apple wait a few seconds, then walk back into the room. Screw you windows 10
  4. Planetary exploration dlc... DLC !!! but... Planetory Exploration!!!! Eh Squad has proved that they aren’t going to make bad dlc. I’d buy it. Im thinking parts that are more surface oriented, surface experiments that take time to run... experiments that need you to move to multiple point in a certain area to work, maybe a better ore system. Also for a general update, improving the terrain would be nice. You know so you can just land anywhere and assume it will be flat.
  5. I think all this would require ( the kerbal way) is a few edited image files and a few edits to a couple configs. I’ll look and get back to you.
  6. This would be cool, but as you said, “would probably need engine level coding” , ie probably a new engine. KSP could seriously use an update like that, but that would require a lot of work from the devs and basically one shot all of the mods. Now if someone could find a resource light way to do this, sign me up. As for now, kerbals are just clumsy as all kraken.
  7. I’m pretty sure mod devs already do that? I mean I think I tagged mine as contracts... What purpose would this serve anyway? (Provided I’m understanding what you mean) The search function already reads through postings to find those keywords, so as long as the mod has a basic description it would find it. Plus we already kinda do this, so I don’t exactly see the point. Sorry. Edit: Wait didn’t I just see another post from you about this same thing? This thread is probably better off in community discussion since its not for the game itself.
  8. Step One; Be huge nerd Step Two; Find funny web comic Step Three; Make a snorting noise just like everyone else when they see something funny online Step Four; Copy image that caused noise Step Five; Set as profile photo Step Six; Realize KSP just autosaved and your ship just missed its transfer window.
  9. Why is it that I always forget to post in the welcome section whenever I join a forum? I should really just give it up. So most of you already know me, which may or may not be a good thing... Anyways guess I should introduce myself. I am Mark Kerbin. Well no, not really, that would be one heck of a coincidence wouldn't it? I am ~16 years old, male, and whatever else you guys care to believe. Huge nerd. Bit much for my own good sometimes, tend to overestimate my own abilities. Few things you should know; I am a pretty chill guy usually. Can get a little mean sometimes but I will chill out pretty quick, especially if someone mentions it. If you haven't already noticed, most of my posts are very "stream of consciousness" so read to the end if you want to know what I'm actually saying. I am incredibly snarky and sarcastic, especially when tired, grumpy, or when I forgot to eat [insert meal here]. So if I seem like I'm being a jerk, or just a bit... off, its either sarcasm or the person the jerkiness was directed at happened to have me reading their post at the wrong time. If so, sorry. That or they were asking for it... You may decide for yourself. Really, really enjoy all things space and tech related. And thats about it... Oh yeah and I am the new dev for Kerbal Academy after severedsolo had to drop support for it to focus on some IRL things. (Between updates at the moment, somehow managed to break v1.2.0 to such an extent that I decided to write it off and go on to 1.3  ) Speaking of which, I have a few other projects in the works. Not gonna say anymore than that. Autocorrect and windows 10 are the bane(s?) of my existence. So is Windows "Defender". RIP my gamedata folder. See you guys around -MK
  10. Thats no moon (read: satellite (Which is technically the same thing))! Thats a space station!
  11. Just realized that AUTO in Wall-E is a Hal 9000 reference. Also damn, Pixar hits ya right in the feels with that movie.

  12. Come on man... now I want to know. As far as I know the only place keybindings and other settings are stored is in the settings config here ProgramFiles(x86)>Steam>SteamApps>Common>Kerbal Space Program>Settings Other than that... idk man.
  13. I think I have figured out what is going on here. First thought; When you drag over your mods do you copy them out of the gamedata folder directly? Are you copying the squad and squad expansion folders when you do that? If so... don’t do that! Second thought; Do any of your mods have any functionality that relates to the physics? I think one of them might be changing/breaking something important when you start an new save. Try playing pure stock for as long as it usually take to break after saving and reloading a few times. Oh and you may want to uninstall first then copy that folder to your documents or something. Steam only kills the exe file, but does keep track of where the other stuff goes so it may be copy and pasting too. (Not sure on that last bit) Having some continuity issues here, sorry about that. As I said above, it might not matter. Oh and are those old files the same version, stupid question Ik.
  14. Are you moving anything over after the install? Also what do you call a “clean install” with steam? Are you hitting uninstall then reinstalling or are you deleting everything KSP related in steams folder before the reinstall?
  15. Yeah I think you have a time bomb somewhere in one of your configs. If you have access to an output log we can look for errors (the playing with fire thing was meant as a silly joke, no harm intended)
  16. Why the heck is everyone injured right now... Did the KSP community have a collective epic fail or something?
  17. For future reference to get steam to install dlcs (for all games) make sure the dlc is checked in the dlc box in steam, fully boot up game, turn off thru the games quit option, wait for steam to do its thing, repeat until dlc is installed.
  18. Saving Kerbals via config editing is perfectly safe. First answer to the topic was fine.
  19. Ehh. Cut the particle effects. Otherwise the fact is that you are asking your pc to render a crud ton of particles. So better pc is also a good option . (Main settings config)
  20. Well given that your older installs got corrupted I would suggest not copying anything over. If you want to play with fire (I mean this is rocket science) you can try copying the settings config over from the main KSP folder.
  21. Had that happen to me too. KSP is just being derpy with full screen. I suggest adjusting the UI scale. Other than that there’s not much to do about it.
  22. Can we get an output log and mod list? Other than that I don’t know of any reason it would do that off the top of my head. Install anything new lately? Scatter, SVE...
  23. So are you talking about some sort of mechanical arm, or some sort of “builder bot” that can assemble and perform mantience on bases and such without need of kerbals
