  1. Did you try to right click on the docking port and see if you can click undock or something? If thats not the case then you might be experiencing a bug where the part is stucked to a certain state. Try quicksaving/quickloading and maybe even go to persistent.sfs find the klaw or port and check its state.
  2. First of all try to update any major mods you had to 1.4, the alarm clock might be the problem but you saying you had more? After that try again, it might work. If you had any major mods, including modded ship parts, it will be hard to recover, the mods need to be updated and you need to be lucky enough since your version save is old. Do you have the saves folder backup-ed somewhere from 1.2.2? If yes try this: 1) Go to Steam Library-->Right click on Kerbal-->Properties-->Betas-->Select 1.3.1 Beta 2) Try finding if any of your mods have an updated version for 1.3.1 3)Try to load your save and see if you are having the same problems 4) If things are looking better then wait for your mods to be updated for 1.4 or you could try your luck and see if the transition from 1.3 to 1.4 will work for you, so go again in the Betas tab and select to opt out of any beta programs.
  3. Edit...hmm it looks like there are some ''ghost'' options when changing resolution and even if the resolution number is what you want, you might need to hit <> one more time or one less to find the correct one. I know its a wild speculation but something is going on here, each resolution has multiple ''options'' before the < > take you to the next/previous resolution. For example 1920x1080 stays 7 times before the button changes it.
  4. I found out that i had to click multiple times the < > in the graphic settings option menu before it changed resolution. I have no idea why it does that but well sometimes the bugs are just weird. Probably not the solution but you never know, i had to add that here in case someone reads it. 5. It changes and saves fine, only a weird thing, in the graphics settings i have to click multiple times the < > to change the resolution. Except that, it works and saves the resolution after restart. Try changing the resolution from main menu and not loading the save, restart the game and then load your career.
  6. Alt+Enter usually toggles windowed mode in most games(and in Kerbal). I edited the previous post, if you have any external programs that control settings and stuff. Maybe try a clean install with administration rights(right click run as administrator). If you are on Steam, launch it with right click->run as administrator and then download/do the Install. I hope you figure out or someone gives the answer.
  7. Huh...umm have you tried hitting Alt+Enter(hit it two times) and see what happens? Do you have maybe nvidia or another program that controls the games graphic settings?
  8. You probably done it but did you open the settings.cfg with notepad to do a manual edit: SCREEN_RESOLUTION_WIDTH = 2048 SCREEN_RESOLUTION_HEIGHT = 1152 FULLSCREEN = True (or even try to change it to false). After that, maybe right click on settings.cfg->properties and see if the Read Only is ticked. Do you start the game as administrator? Are you on steam or?Cause it might be that you installed without administrator rights.
  9. I forgot to say that if the icons just blink a bit and move around like trembling its usual, nothing to worry about, it happens.
  10. its just? You know when its time to upgrade when people start calling i7s its just .
  11. Hey everyone, just a small suggestion, when i tried to switch editor from inside VAB this happened and i couldn't select the vessel(I tried shift, reroute but i just cant select anything). https://imgur.com/a/GxRXwYX Maybe when you switch it auto rotates the vessel? Not sure if it will help or be more confusing. Edit nvm, i managed to Zoom in at the top part and with shift i selected it and rotated itself per usual. Edit#2, seems like it bugged out and everything is finicky, cant select what i want etc, i exited to main screen, entered the hangar, loaded it from VAB and worked perfectly.
  12. Very helpful posts. I used to fear docking until i realized it was a simple mini game played by the navball. Just make sure as others said, to control from your port and target the port you want to dock. Then align these two docking ports very roughly, no need to be an exact straight line or close to each other. After that switch to Docking Mode with RCS on and only, ONLY watch your navball.(With docking mode you can use wasd, shift, ctrl keys to move, makes it easier trust me). The mini game is to make the target icon overlap your prograde icon and keep it centered there at all time. Watch your speed and boom, docked. It may sound a bit complicated but if you trying to figure out docking without using ONLY the navball then you will never make it a routine part of your game.
  13. For me its simple: High inclination change: best way to do it is while launching the rocket. Low inclination change: dont bother with raising apoapsis, wont be much of a gain, just do it with the height your vessel needs to be. If you are already circularized and you cant spare the delta v to brute force the change then you might consider using other planets/moons. Check this for some answers :
  14. When you right click other parts do the options come up? Like deploying landing gear, opening payload bays, with right click, inside VAB or in flight?
  15. Have you tempered with the ingame settings? Like turning off Orbital drift Compensation or Ease in gravity? If yes that might be the problem cause they should be always on. I just hope your savegame is not corrupted, i dont want to scare you but if you have an older backup and cant figure out the problem you might need to see if thats the issue.Except if you had this problem since the start.Good luck.
  16. Try before the warp to turn off SAS and RCS and switch Hibernation in Warp to auto.(And even deactivate the engines in case there is some weird thrust bug). Also right before you warp check again if your orbit/speed is stable and the one you aiming for. Sometimes even the shortest bursts of RCS cause massive changes to your transfer orbit. After that i really cant think of something else.
  17. Do you have RCS on during these timewarps? Sometimes i find it the cause of such problems.
  18. Usually large inclination changes are done during the ascent of the rocket. In real life there are some rare cases that reaching a high apoapsis first and then changing inclination is more efficient, in Kerbal though i doubt there is anything like that. I am not very experienced with orbital mechanics but i know that if you want to change the inclination after you circularized then in no way you can be more fuel efficient than doing the inclination change during the ascent. In the end if you are in orbit and want to do an inclination change its gonna cost you a lot no matter how high is your apoapsis. It might be a bit better but the cost to get that apoapsis(and then lower it again) will negate most of the gain. Maybe there are some more advanced orbital mechanics that you can use(with other planets etc) but thats what i gathered for Kerbal from various sources.
  19. Do you have SAS enabled the moment they magnetize?Maybe just maybe that is the problem.I am out of ideas.
  20. Before 1.4.3 i blamed myself everyday that i switched to 1.4.
  21. Last weeks been so rough for me as well.I haven't touched the game until 1.4.3.It was so so bad.The recent update though, gave me hope and energy for this game again. Its one of these high pain high reward situations . I hope it happens the same with you as well.
  22. Happy to help.Just remember to backup your saves every once and awhile to avoid loosing too much in case something breaks.
  23. I feel your frustration and i had my share of it recently but games have bugs, the question is if we can fix/overpass them relatively easy. You have an '''easy'' solution, cheat to orbit the ships(one by one not docked together) and boom, it will be fixed and hopefully never happen again. Also any outdated mods might cause problems so thats always in the program.
  24. This is the best i can find if you are experiencing an old bug(usually happens when you quicksave in the middle of the undocking/docking procedure): Go to your saves folder and open with notepad persistent.sfs(make sure you back it up first!!!!) Then ctrl+f put the name of the vessel and find the specific docking port. Here are some quick instructions of what you need to change. If the port is undocked and not in ''ready state'' then its bugged. Note that its probably gonna be bugged forever so after undocking you would have to do this all over again. Edit: Scroll down in this page, the link yeah it doesnt work but in the end there are few instructions.
  25. When ingame hit Escape--> Settings--> Difficulty Options--> Allow other Launchsites, its in the first screen you get. After that when you hover your mouse a bit under the launch button the options should pop up. Maybe it should be on by default and whoever needs extra challenge could just turn it off.
