Every single point you made contradicts itself, but then again hope makes us act and think like that.

At this point i am just hoping it will drop this week. I used to visit these forums with a smile now i visit them with a total different set of emotions.

If you are on PC and not against mods i suggest you use Mechjeb. It has many automated functions that can teach you how to do even the most advanced maneuvers. Just remember to challenge yourself and not rely on it cause it can become very addictive and then my point will be lost .

Someone randomly caused the discovery of another ''small'' bug to surface, its just 7% percent less or more drag when you use different skins in fuel tanks, which is the best we will proly never know .

Inconsistent SSTO ascent
Serenity replied to 4x4cheesecake's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Well i hope someone helps you figure it out, if the ascent profile was simple then i can only think of mass. How many passengers you had or how much ore/fuel, after that i cant think of anything else. -
Inconsistent SSTO ascent
Serenity replied to 4x4cheesecake's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I cant see for sure but if you have fairings they are bugged and create extreme amounts of drag to the part they are attached to in 1.4.2. It will be fixed this week. Umm if not then you should do some checks like Aegolius said and try to recall if you did something different (fuel amount, which speed you pitched up, which altitude, if you had rocket mode inside atmo for few seconds). -
'''Its just a game''' its a phrase that belongs to the past.Games have become more than entertainment, they are part of our life and some of them, like Kerbal, are part of our creativity and help in many ways to wake up that miserable brain of ours or even keep the spirit up. Anyways my point is that the phrase ''its just a game'', its a personal opinion and not an infinite power excuse.

I agree with most of your post but in this case you have two important game mechanics that you need to make sure they will work. 1)Launching a rocket with a fairing. 2)Landing a vessel. Both of these things take 10 minutes to test before you deploy the patch. I am still trying to decide what scares me most. The idea that they tested the patched version and they could't see the problems and the possibility of breaking something that big or that they didn't even bother to test at all after they patched their version.

Where to start? Here 's some that come first in mind: 1)Graphics, 2)Improved engine to handle better more parts and even more mods, 3)Easier implementation for expansions and most importantly 4)Marketing, a new sequel always sells better than dlcs if the predecessor is successful, which in this case i think its the best and only in the genre Kerbal is representing.

Well yeah, only after someone asked about it.

I think its just a smoke screen to save some face. My guess is they couldn't fix some of the important bugs so they had to come up with something. They also consistently avoid mentioning in official posts the fairing drag bug.

I would like to see the majority of people that made ksp to continue on expansions. This game has so much potential. But if there is a need to advertise a new game to improve the sales and keep the money go around then i hope this team is the one to develop it.

The additional content must be a form of compensation for the game breaking bugs that were introduced in 1.4.2 .

Does the expansion work with 1.3?

Mission builder should be integrated with the main save file, or at least give us the option to have it there. The fact that it isnt, thats my opinion, means most likely it was an old project that was rushed to just be there and not really achieve its original design.

Personally i think that the expansion was mostly old code/stuff waiting on the shelve, polished in short notice after the decision to release an expansion came. The new toys we got are far less than most indie(solo) developers or some modders can create at the same time with the same amount of bugs. I am not complaining, i bought it the second it was available, this game is like half my life.

Its a sound logic but i hate missing new content in games i love. I might do the same if the next updates are just fixes.

Yeah i guess you are right. I just feel so frustrated and uncomfortable knowing that this bug made it through the testing phase. And if the streamers weren't so active and supportive, how long would it take for players to finally update to 1.4.2 and report this bug...

To those defending or claiming 1.4.2 brought just minor bugs that can be expected: Both Are full stock and they are in their max altitude capability https://imgur.com/a/nuwrY Its not a minor bug or something that can be missed. Its something to cause concern about whats going on. In the end i am glad its being fixed and i would pay again for the expansion even if i knew what it will come next.

You didn't mention the drag fairing bug, is it going to be fixed? Good luck, looking forward to this patch.

Serenity replied to klesh's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I find that moving the camera a bit makes it appear at a certain angle.Still a bug ofcourse but maybe it helps a bit.
