I completed my Duna base and sent them a manned rover. Then I sat and pondered on what to do next, made an Eve lander probe and didn't like the design so I scrapped it all I really look forward to Career mode...

Is there any way to make an alarm for a transfer window from Kerbin to Mun or Minmus? It's not that hard to guess the windows for them, but I would really like to have the precise information.

I guess I would be the astrophysicist, I need realism and good mission planning. Plus I will start studying astrophysics in January

I'm staying away from mods until 0.20, mods will be much easier to uninstall then.

Actually, NASA didn't sign the contract with SpaceX, they instead went with Roscosmos, flying with Soyuz until 2017 SpaceX isn't ready do send people into LEO yet, they're planning to do so in 2015.

I agree, SPH and countless testing is the only way, this HTOL did the job perfectly, so good, I'm sending a second one to the Duna north pole.

I guess that makes more sense =) The key is perfect symmetry, otherwise HTOL becomes very hard in ksp more like black magic

I do use mechjeb, I need all those info windows, but I didn't know it had a delta v reader, thanks for the tip! The chutes are just to kill some horizontal velocity, I made them act like drogues trough the config =)

I don't want to use the habitat module's fuel, so just the orange tank, using that engine it has about 7000 m/s EDIT: I found a delta v map, http://i.imgur.com/CEZS1.png

This two spacecraft docked in LKO and are ready to transfer to Duna, but I'm not sure if I have enough juice to make it there... Will this make it all the way to Duna? All tanks are pretty much full.
