  1. I'm sorry, guys, we believe you meant well, but discussions of religion on the internet never end well, which is why forum rule 2.2.b says, "Discussions of a political, ideological or religious nature" are off-limits for the forum. Closing the thread now.
  2. Hello scotts and welcome to the forum. Old to KSP, almost 2 years so far, and still very impressed with KSP and the community.
  3. I recently made an EVA scooter which Kerbals can claw to asteroids or ships.
  4. Moved to off-topic lounge to lounge in its off-topicness. (Haven't seen the movie, btw.)
  5. Welcome to the forum, SlowThought. For pictures, upload your screenshots to a free service like Imgur.com, and copy-paste the BBCode link they provide into your post.
  6. Since you started a new thread for this, there's no need for this old one.
  7. "Five days?" I've been playing this game almost exclusively for close to 2 years.
  8. Hello ChibiCD, and welcome to the forum. Don't bother trying to customize your profile just yet, because you'll need to post a few more times before the forum software believes you are not a spambot and gives you that permission.
  9. Hello super. While we encourage people to post challenges for the enjoyment of other players, there are a few rules to follow. For one thing, the challenge needs to be possible, which I don't believe a couple of these are, and also, there's an expectation that you have done it at least once yourself, which I suspect isn't the case. Please don't be discouraged, but do put a bit more forethought into a challenge before posting another one.
  10. Afraid not, guys. From the forum rules: And liquor is a drug.
  11. I usually use 118kms when I'm aiming to end up on an orbit among its moons.
  12. Thought about it, but I don't like to put any unnecessary parts on my ships. On second thought, I'm offering this to other players, and not everybody shares my minimalist compulsions. So I took your advice, and the ship now flies with normal staging.
  13. Long burns at low thrust work for me. At lower G loads, SAS does a better job of keeping your heading.
  14. You want opinions on ARM parts? We got opinions on ARM parts all over the place. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74439-The-Grand-0-23-5-Discussion-Thread http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75696-Theory-vs-Practice-The-ARM-parts http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75013-I-m-sorry-I-I-just-don-t-like-ARM-%28 http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75683-ARM-Parts-Poll http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75661-The-7-Balance-Points-of-engines-in-a-Full-Career-Mode http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75332-Can-both-Career-Mode-and-Sandbox-Mode-be-balanced-simultaneously http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75094-Would-you-like-reducing-the-thrust-of-the-new-engines http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75738-ARM-SLS-Parts-and-the-Start-of-The-Career-mode-age http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75090-the-ion-engine-is-way-too-OP http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74603-Engine-balancing-issues-in-ARM Rather than start yet another of these threads, please read and add your comments to one of the existing threads on the subject.
  15. The new, larger ARM ships require much more fuel. Fortunately, they also allow for much larger fuel delivery ships. This here is the M107Rb Tanker. After discarding the 2 asparagus boosters, the main booster will take you just short of orbit, and then run dry so as to be ejected sub-orbitally and leave no space debris. As you can see, this ship reaches orbit with the equivalent of 3 nearly full S3-14400 fuel tanks. Once you have rendezvoused with the target ship, the M107Rb has a standard docking port at bow and a Senior docking port at stern so that it can deliver fuel to just about any size of target ship. The M107Rb is also provided with fore and aft lights for operating in Kerbin's shadow. After the tanker is empty, it can be de-orbited with its RCS. 16. Save the game, launch to its orbital height, and note far how the station has moved in that time. Load your save, fast-forward until the station is that far west of KSC, and launch to orbit. You should end up quite close to it. For the final approach, check the tutorials sub-forum for docking guides.
  17. These works of fans have been moved to the Fanworks sub-forum.
  18. Also merged into the existing music thread.
  19. (With regard to a deleted comment...) There's no need to make fun of people for not knowing how to do things. I had to have somebody show me how to link pics when I joined this forum as well.
  20. Merged into the existing music-while-playing thread.
  21. SRBs give you a quick punch up to high speed, and then quit long before you're anywhere. They're not meant to be used as a whole stage, and while it can be done, they're not good at it. Replace most of those with liquid fuel engines which don't push as hard, but push much longer, and your ship will go much farther. That's just one suggestion off the top of my head. How about stripping off everything but the payload you want to deliver and post a pic of that? Some players might even build a launcher for it and send you the craft file.
  22. As always, guys, discuss the game and not each other's personalities, please.
  23. I'm pretty sure he did, because I've found myself in the same situation. Obviously, some combination of axes will result in drawing your path closer, but since we can only move one at a time and they are at right angles to each other, it is not at all uncommon to find that moving every marker in every direction makes things worse. I know. It sounds counter-intuitive, and I was baffled by it as well, but it does happen.
