Animals in Kerbal Space Progam

You could always say it is a nuisance to Kerbalkind (like mosquitoes are to Humans), there are way too many of them, or just make them micro-organisms. PETA doesn't complain about humans murdering amoebas, or exposing tardigrades to the extremes of space. Also, if this actually gets made, murdering animals should automatically set your reputation to -1000. Imo, they should be only a lab experiment like in Station Science.

Clearly we need a "Rainbow Unicorn" animal option, since it has a built in nosecone, crew capacity and likely some form of genetically built-in orbital manoeuvre capability.

I could be wrong, but I recall reading that the "mystery goo" container used to contain a small critter, which would be exposed to the vacuum of space and observed (for science!)

Donterrio, I believe the point I'm trying to make here is that, no matter what animals you come up with or what science values you assign to them, animal subjects in spaceflight simply aren't very useful past the very early suborbital/orbital missions.

animals have been discussed over and over, they are (probably - I am carful since the announcement of multiplayer) not coming, I can't find a quote by Squad on that right now though.
