Kerbpaint mod

Some of y'all may be aware of the kerbpaint mod.
For those of you who are not….
Are you tired of the same boring black and white colors of the tanks (ok yes you got big orange but still). I know i am. So @SQUAD and @KasperVld, could y'all consider adding a paint feature into the game. A way to give or rockets and planes different colors.

I used to like KerbPaint too... would indeed like to have the ability to colour parts again

Being able to change the colours of vessels would be a nice thing to have, but definitely not on the priority list.  If it's not too big a job then yes, why not include it.

Better…yes. Thats why i think it should be a stock feature

Paint should also have mass, so you might have to add a little more fuel for a painted rocket. This would be a great feature, though, getting to personalize your rockets a bit.

if you model the mass of the paint, you should model the thermo change between a black painted rocket and a white painted rocket. And if you model this, you could also model the changes in the atmo...

Isn't it more simple to just ignore all of this and just assume that painting a rocket changes just nothing ? It's a game, after all.

Your rockets are already painted. People just want to change that paint to be something other than black and white.

But that, one could say, is countered by the reduced drag (even more so for boats), so why not just ignore both and leave it neutral which is much easier computationally and quicker to code too?

I would like to be able to paint red and green stripes down the left and right of craft to help me keep track of orientation when docking. I currently use red and green lights for this.
