How to get good at maths?

Hello there, funny question here but I'm looking for different methods for revising maths. What's your best way of revising for tests?

I like to do a practice test, then grade it myself to find out exactly what subjects I did poorly on, then I can go and review those subjects specifically.

Like anything else, practice, practice, practice. No easy way out of it. 

Do questions over and over again. Repeat the ones you got wrong. Repeat the ones you got right. Write out the equations again and again and again.

In general, just try to understand it.

Actually try to understand what's going on. Toy with the equations and see what else you get. Reverse the answer and see whether you can get the question.

I'm well aware you can't quite do this (or it's not necessary at all) to a few thing though, ie. "magics" in engineering.
