Any craft that reaches escape velocity will go infinitely far from the sun over time. Just put an ion-powered vehicle in LKO and fire the engines until it runs out of fuel. Then wait.

Yup. Just to prove the point I sent a rocket on such an escape trajectory and let it run on max time-warp for a day or so:

It's barely slowing down at all now, just keeps going away.
