Good craft design and good input hardware make flying like that a whole lot easier. I can't do that in KSP, but I've done similar manoeuvres in VTOL/helicopter based sims.

I once tried landing something on top of something else on Minmus, and failed miserably. It's exceptionally difficult to do docking with gravity.

Great piloting skills (although the blooper reel shows he did a lot of shooting to get the perfect result) and really nice end product. I like the style of the video a lot.
